  1. Not that I have any info on Cyberpunk's AI development, but I'm a C developer and dabbed into AI in an open environment a few times (without making anything great I might add) so here's my 2 cents:
Making AI is *HARD*, especially if they have to follow you through an open map like Cyberpunk's, you've got to keep in consideration the height of the player, where it's located, calculate where to spawn the "cops", which cop you should spawn etc… It takes many cpu cycles and they PROBABLY had to cut the whole ting because they couldn't make it good enough for consoles which were already struggling to hit 30fps, as you can see in the Us Cracks mission you've mentioned, there's little to no traffic when the cops are chasing you, probably because some console could explode or something like that

  2. After the patch 1.3 playing verry hard it is annoying when you kill someone by accident, and you have to ged rid of the police it is not that easy any more. You cannot fight them becouse if you got 4 stars they kill you immediately, so you have to go away and loose the fight that you started.
I think the chase system was already working but it was annoying during the gameplay so they decided to shut it down.

  3. I like how they made a big deal about how driving armored cars would be important in bad parts of the city and not only is every part of the city exactly the same since there aren’t random events and crime is literally nonexistent unless you deliberately go to a blue “crime in progress” location but the cars all have zero durability and blow up instantly from gunfire as if they’re propane tanks lol. Aside from all the bs you hear and read about happening (which you never see in game) Night City is safer than a midwest suburb

  4. PC users should always get a different version than the console. They can always turn down the game for the console later, but the space between how powerful a GPU card you can buy for your PC is and what's in a console is to great to ignore anymore. And its not really fair for those who are gaming enthusiasts and have powerful rigs to be boxed into a "one for all" release. Maybe time has come to say, some games, can only be for PC. This would be a perfect example.

  5. On my channel I recorded a random car that started chasing me, maybe that's also a remnant of the police/gang chases? Be free to check it out, it's called "cyberpunk 2077 – Zombie car"

  6. Basically too much ambition pitched, marketed and advertised even though CDPR never have built the experience to back their ambitions up and thus:

We looking at their 3d alpha version of GTA 1 in a 2077 jacket boys and girls. So they will prolly get their eventually in 5 or 10 years give or take I guess. 🤣

  7. After so many years in development, CDPR wanted the game out so they could cash in. They promised a game to console owners that wasn't there and they gave the finger to pc users to make console owners happy. No one won but CDPR. Greed done poorly imo.

  8. Are you gonna check out Pawel's twitch stream on Sunday? I think it's at 11AM pacific standard? They've been pretty informative even with the glairing NDA tape over everything. A lot of the CDPR staff get on for it as well and I guess the idea is you can ask him or them questions while he plays through the game, though it seems to be kinda random who is on stream each time, I figure you would get more out of it than most people all in all.

  9. They should've looked at GTA 5's traffic system, police system, those are pretty awesome… the more crime you do the bigger and nastier units you have to take on. Honestly they could've copy pasted it and it'd be game of the year.

  10. is crazy how much they f*** things up… Like, we are not talking about some revolutionary system. Is just a Car Chase system…. GTA got this right all the way back in 2001 with GTA 3….. games have been doing things like this for years without too many issues. How can this game F*** up so bad?. I can't understand how people within the company were looking at this and say "yeah, this is good enough"

  11. they def removed patrol cars because the AI wasnt ready, very interesting to see what state it was in though. if expanding the maxtac story and tons of police AI updates got wrapped into one thing down the road that would be amazing

  12. Regarding the enemy gang territory chases; I’ve noticed recently in gameplay after killing gang members in certain areas, other gang members will be driving in the same area and will be “on alert” where they may recognize you and start combat. They don’t chase much but I think that could easily be improved.
