  1. Very well explained. I need to pick your brains lol My tv is not very bright when it comes to producing a powerful HDR picture. My TV is a phillips 7303/12 with supposedly HDR 10 but my peak brightness is only 350 nits. It also has no local dimming. What would you recommend in terms of HDR setting other than buying a new TV lol.

  2. Have you compared the hdr10 of the ps5 and the xbox on cyberpunk? I'm on ps5 I find the hdr extremely aggressive for the eyes with the 1.50 update even with the brightness setting at 300

  3. I have issue thing happen randomly to me. Mostly on PS5, maybe a few times when watching Tv.

Starts with a black screen, then switches to a grey screen with an HDMI connector logo, and then goes back into normal viewing mode as if nothing happened.

    Please help me! 🙁

  4. SDR still gives much better black levels in my opinion. For example the area where Judy works, it looks great and proper dark in SDR but just almost washed out with HDR, unless you change TV brightness to 48 or even 45. But then daytime starts to look weird. I wish the blacks were just as deep as SDR with HDR.

  5. i don't know why but HDR on full screen (or windowed if vertical or horizonatl matches native rez) TANKS my performance on pc hard (1000+ render latency) I've tried disabling gsync on the tv + nvidia control panel, turning it off and on after the game starts but nothing…

I have no idea what's wrong. I'm using C1 with RTX3080 and Ryzen 7 5800, works perfectly fine if i disable hdr or if i alt tab out and go back in but it only works for like a few seconds.

  6. I never really looked into understanding brightness levels in nits, and could never find what my TV is supposed to operate (it's an LG but not OLED, just a nano cell but not top of the range one). I found HDR looks great but it took me a while to get the settings I want. I do use HGIG for tone mapping as well as the image does come through a bit brighter on the highlights. All in all though I think HDR looks great in Cyberpunk!

Nevertheless, I still don't understand what it all means lol!

  7. Hey great video! I own a pretty low end QLED, HDR 10 set – TCL C725k. I've been using your settings as the max nits for the set are atleast advertised as 1000, but 800 is plenty bright enough.

I was just wondering if you (or anyone reading) has a better recommendation for the TV set I own? As mentioned above it is ok, but it feels a little off still mainly in dark areas where the blacks are slightly crushed / almost appearing with a shade of yellow.
