Very well explained. I need to pick your brains lol My tv is not very bright when it comes to producing a powerful HDR picture. My TV is a phillips 7303/12 with supposedly HDR 10 but my peak brightness is only 350 nits. It also has no local dimming. What would you recommend in terms of HDR setting other than buying a new TV lol.

Cx TV settings Pleeeeaaase
Have you compared the hdr10 of the ps5 and the xbox on cyberpunk? I'm on ps5 I find the hdr extremely aggressive for the eyes with the 1.50 update even with the brightness setting at 300
Would useing be best to use on my xbox series x on my Samsung 4k qled Q80A 55inch as wondering what best setting any help would be amazing thank you added like to video great channel
Very good video, i need to see this as i am about to start the game on my PS5 with HDR
HDR is still absolutely broken in this game
Hi guys! Do you have any indications in the HDR settings on samsung q90/95t and ps5 ? Nits 1500 ? Thanks
I have issue thing happen randomly to me. Mostly on PS5, maybe a few times when watching Tv.
Starts with a black screen, then switches to a grey screen with an HDMI connector logo, and then goes back into normal viewing mode as if nothing happened.
Please help me! 🙁
What are the best settings for a lg cx oled 47?
SDR still gives much better black levels in my opinion. For example the area where Judy works, it looks great and proper dark in SDR but just almost washed out with HDR, unless you change TV brightness to 48 or even 45. But then daytime starts to look weird. I wish the blacks were just as deep as SDR with HDR.
It also doesn't help that VRR on XSX raises black levels a little. It's a game changer though, I can't disable it.
Hang on …
The HDR settings on the PS5 do absolutely nothing?
i don't know why but HDR on full screen (or windowed if vertical or horizonatl matches native rez) TANKS my performance on pc hard (1000+ render latency) I've tried disabling gsync on the tv + nvidia control panel, turning it off and on after the game starts but nothing…
I have no idea what's wrong. I'm using C1 with RTX3080 and Ryzen 7 5800, works perfectly fine if i disable hdr or if i alt tab out and go back in but it only works for like a few seconds.
Thankyou so much for your insight. Do you know of Cyberpunk was mastered for Dolby Vision or is it just converting the HDR10 signal to Dolby Vision?
I never really looked into understanding brightness levels in nits, and could never find what my TV is supposed to operate (it's an LG but not OLED, just a nano cell but not top of the range one). I found HDR looks great but it took me a while to get the settings I want. I do use HGIG for tone mapping as well as the image does come through a bit brighter on the highlights. All in all though I think HDR looks great in Cyberpunk!
Nevertheless, I still don't understand what it all means lol!
Hey man, thanks for your video. Does this settings with the nits also apply to the LG c1 65?
Hi guys, after many test , this are my set on q90t/ ps5(18,18,0 from the minimum in hdr calibration)
In thw game Hdr settings: 1500 nit, medium tone at 1.3/1.4 … thanks
Thanks for the Video. How about the PC? Is the HDR black level bug fixed there? And can I use your HDR10 recommendations for PC (I use a CX too)? Thanks in advance!

Hey great video! I own a pretty low end QLED, HDR 10 set – TCL C725k. I've been using your settings as the max nits for the set are atleast advertised as 1000, but 800 is plenty bright enough.
I was just wondering if you (or anyone reading) has a better recommendation for the TV set I own? As mentioned above it is ok, but it feels a little off still mainly in dark areas where the blacks are slightly crushed / almost appearing with a shade of yellow.
awesome video mate!!!!! Literally the first thing i do when buying new game is coming to ur channel for settings, always keepin up with the good titles! when talkin DV im always interested as i really enjoy that gaming. looks like hgig is the way though for this one. Btw is the bushes and trees and plants in the landscape/desert also very badly made in on ur console/tv?
Blacks are still raised?
What is HGiG and how do I set it on? I only have the HDR10 option in game, at least seems to me like that (have a SONY Bravia in case that depends on the TV)
I hate how we are still locked in basic setting mode for the game even on the next gen release.
Im confused with that hdr10 in game menu I have hdr tv so isn’t hdr already on, or is that hdr10 something different from my tv hdr?
Do people recommend dolby vision or hdr for Xbox gaming?
U cant have good image on HDR without crushing all the details..If u use sdr u ll understand how much detail u cant see.. SDR is better in this game with correct colors.
thanks a lot for this explanation.
Cheers from Brazil.
