7:43 BETTER BUCKLE UP!
20:32 that "simping" was coming out of nowhere, didnt expect them to use that word lmao
About the news anchor thing, news anchors normally dont write their own scripts, they just read them of the prompters. which tripped some news anchor really up when the script glitches out or has some words in it they have trouble pronouncing and it causes sometimes some really funny moments of them either laughing their asses off or staring at the script like a deer in headlights.
9:17 aww, you missed Judy's ex.
…It's actually not quite clear what she's even doing there, as the Clouds business should've made her an absolute disgrace within Tyger Claws. But apparently she's good at failing upwards.
Man Song really is such a well written character 😭
News anchors don't write their own scripts. News channels have researchers doing fact checking. Those are often the ones feeding the anchors their lines.
will you consider playing The Coffin of Andy and Leyley? @Welonz ? maybe for Halloween?
This party was such a surreal mission especially meeting all the NPCs you would only see on the TVs, like meeting celebrities' except they aren't real lol. I was like pointing at my screen at every 5 seconds at a face I recognized.
God I love Kurt's voice actor he really just has a threating tone even when holding a casual conversation, I NEED more of his character.
You can't fail the scans, big missed opportunity on CDPRs end imo. Would have been interesting to see how it affects that mission even if it was in a minor way.
51:15 LMFAO
51:09 Aurore: Don't be jealous, I don't intend to fuck her
Welonz: WHY?
In Cyberpunk, most Netrunner's like Songbird use these things called Icon's that act as their avatar's while in cyberspace. That's likley way she differs from her real-life self, and it's probably what she looked like before she "sold out" to join NUSA. Its conceivable it's a way she stays connected to the person she used to be.
Adam Smasher's by the way, looks like a messed up Ultron, more like a metalic demon then anything remotely human. Big surprise there.
Will you be playing Spiderman 2?
I was so focused on the mission, I didn't talk to any side characters, or enjoy the party.
Aurore best girl <3
Somi❤
That betting thing, were you gonna lose regardless?
7:55 This is related to a funny bit you missed in the main game: when you and Takemura go to Wakako to get her help for the Arasaka parade mission, you could get an event where a guy pesters Goro saying that he’s the spitting image of a tv host called Hideshi Hino. Not only can you tease Goro about it while talking to Wakako, if you explore you’ll find a billboard with Hideshi on it and he looks even more identical to Takemura than he is in this mission where you actually meet him in the flesh!
As usual Welonz finds a bunch of stuff I missed. Glad just to see it, but I'm going to be super salty for a long time that I missed out on talking to Lizzy Wizzy and getting that headpiece.
I love Corpo V's dialouge options 😆
I think the way you achieve a certain outcome is as important as a choice to ruin it. If you fail the twins, the mission fails, here or maybe later. as a consequence of low success in that event. But i don't think it's a good choice for dev to allow you to fail absolutely. What would be the outcome, can't do the mission ? Oh well. Narrative choice are better imho.
You can always choose to deny Songbird from the start and decide not to do the DLC too. I mean why not ? But what does it offers to the story ?
Player choice is subjective freedom, not an objective one.
I'm pretty sure if you let the player crash a quest, they will complain as much as not being able to. This is how the choice of narration over reason is up to the studio. Can you BG3 the game and afford to check all timelines or give fewer choices with strong outcome. Also, some decisions affect later choices, subtelty comes in the code, you may not see it yet, but later.
This is an interesting topic overall.
15:28 Now I have to know whether it's possible to do the mission piss-drunk like in Kingdom Come
38:12 Is that a bug? Why does Reed have the gun out? (Definitely is, given how awkward it looks later on.)
Oh no, wolenz talks to every side char, drinks every cup of alcohol but skips lizzy’s concert….cdpr put at least 10% of dlc budget on that performance 😂
Can you imagine that you actually could get drunk during the party? lol
The rest of the mission is just flashes of Velonz barely understanding Songbird, interrupting Lizzy's performance, drunkly flirting with the twins (actually forgetting why were you talking to them in the first place), and it ends with you waking up outside in the morning after they kicked you out
Sol and Alex can't even get mad at you cause you still managed to gather all the intel.
You can't really fail the scans. The only part that would complicate things is if you failed to remain undetected during the sniper section with Reed. If that happened, while leaving Black Sapphire, some of the companions of the soldiers you killed would confront V and Reed about it, which could lead to you being forced to fight your way out of hotel and being chased afterwards (this is when the option to hack the turrets and mechs beforehands, while looking for Reed via camera earlier, would come to play, making things a lot easier, with Reed even praising V for thinking ahead).
As for the party, there were couple of other scenes you missed. Nothing major, just some nice flavour:
– you could talk to Weldon Holt about him losing mayor's seat to Jefferson Peralez
– Ruth Dzeng, another celebrity whose running a satirical news program Infoflash, would chat up with V if you approached her
– you could overhear two Corpo ladies talking about getting Hansen's help with "reducing" homeless population in their district, which would prompt Johnny to comment that even as a gun for hire, V is still morally superior to almost everyone here
– there was one final conversation with Johnny on the side, as you are leaving the party and walking to the elevator, about a Rockergirl he admired and how she would wreck this entire shindig if she was here
this was a such a very interesting mission.
