  1. I see a lot of lefty default thinking to hate on Elon Musk, there is really no rational reason to hate him more than Zuck or Bezos or Biden or Trump. Its always about politics and tribalism you insane lefty NPCs. If its right wing thinking its automatic demonize the person and his/her associates, this woke thinking is sick, divisive, and tiring.

  2. One of the best gaming-related decisions I've ever made was to start ignoring the hype of any upcoming game; it has let me genuinely enjoy games that have been grossly over-hyped like Cyberpunk 2077 and Starfield. It's depressing to see the hype ALREADY building from such a non-event of an announcement…

  3. Elon not understanding that he would be one of the Corp villains you would be tasked with taking down (in some form) in both Cyberpunk and Dues Ex is pretty on brand. Right wingers have an astonishing lack of Media literacy. (though he calls himself libertarian… that's clearly a lie… or rather right wing libertarian or ancap)

  4. On the one hand, any layoff is a tragedy. But on the other hand, they didn't appear to lay off anyone on the hands-on development side, so the actual game itself seems safe at least for now. Though of course, that's no guarantee, and we don't know how drastic the restructuring of Embracer is going to be in the end.

  5. Hmm.. for some reason pencil sharpeners come to mind, I can't figure out why 😛

Honestly if Elon had been in Cyberpunk I never would have bought the game, so good choice CDPR.

  6. Ugh. I almost couldn't watch this report; Musk is the sort of guy who legitimately thinks the ending of Cyberpunk involving the real purpose of the chip (if you know you know) is a great idea, and absolutely misses the point of 'megacorps bad'. Did you know he's trying to skip FDA approval and go straight to human testing for his human brain implant? Ya'll, don't trust that man with your Mars oxygen, and sure as hell don't trust him with your brain…anymore than he already gets at 'em.

  7. Tom Clancy has got to be the most successful author in video games. Or does it just seem that way because they put his name on the game more than other authors? Who else is there? Ken Follett? Clive Barker?

  8. Just out of curiosity how much does the ceo of embracer make? Feels like some restructuring could be done to his pay to avoid layoffs? But I mean he's rich so he shouldn't have to worry about such things

  9. I just played Cyberpunk 2077 through for the first time on ps5. Couldn't put it down beginning to end, completed it earlier today after just a week of playing. The only other games I have played so relentlessly in recent years have been Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Final Fantasy XVI.

I got the Panama ending, <3

Anyways, I was randomly killing cyber psychos and ran into Jesse in game with his pants off! so random. so funny. Long time fan and great quest. Great game, up there as one of my favourites. There's some jank with how vehicles handle but the gun play is solid, the graphics are beautiful and the story is excellent. The city feels alive and the exploration factor is really great. I am about to reload and try one of the alternative endings. I am all in for the expansion also, can't wait 🙂
