  1. i have 80 percent crit chance without sandevistan without clothing mod without weapon crit chance on blades… its great and i can easily spec into 100% with the cold blood level 20 perk. but i have specs that increase crit chance on blades to above 20 in my case. so i levelled coll straight up to 20

  2. Great vid as usual. The best thing about this game IMHO is the replay ability. True, the basic story doesn't change but the numbers of ways to build you guy is almost limit less. Guns, blades, "magic," or a little of all. There isn't a right or wrong way to win, you will "win" the game no matter how you build the fun is the process.

  3. I'd give the monowire a shot with this skill set up. I've found that it's significantly stronger than a katana and can be run on the same skill build since it got swapped over to being treated as a melee blade in 1.5. It's also got longer range, making it easier to stay in stealth, and it's able to aoe enemies really effectively. If you've got poison skills from the ninjutsu tree, you can swap it over to chemical damage for the poison chance and which will help finish off anything that may otherwise survive a hit. It's also able to run electrical if you're doing a mission with a lot of robots.

The monowire's base damage is kind of ridiculous though. The blue one I picked up toward the beginning of the game had 4x the base damage of the katanas that were dropping. You don't even need to crit with the monowire to get the results you're getting with the satori here.

The biggest downside is the wonky hitboxes you have to get used to. Sometimes you can't hit shit directly in front of you, other times you hit more than expected. If you can get used to the animations though, I think it may be among the strongest options in the game.

I also highly recommend the sandevistan you get from Fingers if you're going to run the satori build. It's 12 seconds of slow time on a 16 second CD, but still has the 15% crit bonus since it's legendary. Not quite as chainable as the epic dynalar, but you get more crit chance. I haven't really found any combat situations where 12 seconds hasn't been enough.

edit: also I think a good alternative katana would be the Byakko katana you get from completing Wakako's 8 gigs. It has an extra long lunge animation when you charge a power attack while looking at an enemy. It launches you like 3-4x as far as the normal katana lunge animation.

  4. In my text file about my build I've got a note next to Shifting Sands "has a hidden cooldown of around 5 seconds". So not sure what the source for that is, but I think some build guide vid I watched figured that out.
I think speccing into dodging is worthwhile as a blade character. You can use that to activate Kerenzikov (attack during the dodge) and with perks this will give you stamina and a damage bonus, and you can dodge towards an enemy to close range with them.
Sin Tee uses it to great effect in his (pre 1.5) build. He uses Beserk so any time you see time slow is him using Kerenzikov, meaning he dodged (or slid).

High Cool also unlocks some amazing Cyberware. Immunity to poison, shock and fire, and poison heals you, shock boosts armour and fire boosts damage. Also Pain Editor.
If you're going for a dedicated "speedster" build, you may want to consider going Body for the BioConductor (reduces Cyberware cooldown, including Sandevistan and Kerenz. TMK).
It's a waste getting Int if you're not going to be using a Cyberdeck most of the time. Cool and Body both unlock amazing Cyberware easily equal to the +crit Cyberware that Int gives, not to mention both have some nice perks to boost a blade build.

I'd go Kerenz and Nanorelays for nervous system Cyberware if you're going with Sandevistan. The best Nanorelays boosts Sandevistan''s duration by 2 seconds, so if you're speccing into Sandevistan it's nice to pair it with that, and it also boosts Kerenzikov, which it takes practice to use properly, but when you learn how it is very effective. I'd take something I can activate at will multiple times a fight over something I can't control when it activates and it activates only once.

  5. I'm pretty sure the "Defensive Attack" is when you Attack while blocking (L2+R1) PS not the parry "Counter Attack" meaning as long as you're using that specific Attack you get 175% additional dps

  6. Where is that Bride themed jumpsuit located? I'm assuming it was dropped into the game in this recent 1.5 patch.

Also, am I missing something here? I'm glad SOMEBODY is finally covering Sandevistan related builds… but as far as older patches of the game go this ain't the build considering what I'm used to. Did they nerf the crap out of this ability or something?

The old OP af build was QianT Sandevistan Mk4 (slows to 25%, 12s duration) with 3 purple cooldown mods (4.5s total I believe), a gold/legendary Kerenzikov for your secondary bullet time ability, a legendary Bioconductor for 30% cyberware cooldown, and an epic/purple Nano Relays for +2s Sandy/Kerez duration. Alternating between Sand & Kerez with the cooldown mods put you at about a 1 second gap that you're out of bullet time. Is this no longer tenable with the nerfs? I haven't updated yet. All numbers I quoted are with everything equipped already.
