  1. CDPR's value as a company came from the perception that they make quality games, and that they are consumer friendly/take care of their customers. Cyberfraud damaged both of those perceptions. Hopefully they can recover with their next game.

  2. I for one wouldn't buy another game of theirs till seeing extensive reviews. Also, because of how much they flat out lied about what the game experience was like, I'm not pre ordering ever again. I have a pretty good rig so didn't have issues with running or playing the game. For me it is the massive over hyping/over selling and failing to deliver on features that pissed me off

  3. Battlelfield 2042 was also delayed once because of Cyberpunk 2077. Oh wait. Anthem, Fallout 76, Mass Effect Andromeda, No Mans Sky, AC Unity, Marvels Avengers, got delayed multiple times too and released broken and unfinished. Why did nobody learned?

  4. To be sure. Cd project red offered refunds first and Sony was forced to honor it. I remember articles about them being upset about honoring it. Not sure about that part.
As a pc gamer I suggest people come to terms with this happening again and again.

  5. Will Starfield sell Well because of Fallout 76? Yes almost everyone forgot Fallout 76 already. Gamers have fishbrains.
EA makes billions of dollars every year with broken unfinished games like Battlefield 5, Battlefield Hardline, Battlefront 2, Mass Effect Andromeda, Anthem, Battlefield 2042, etc.

  6. CDPR. I swear if they somehow DRAG down Studio Trigger cause of CDPR dreams of anime. Well, I guess it'll be deserved cause Studio Trigger decided to let themselves to western version of crazy.

  7. Well deserved. I am the sort of guy who pirates everything but thr game. But because it was them, I paid two years in advance for the game. I bought it directly from them in gog so the could get all the money. And even paid for the lore book and the comics, even though I am a guy who pirates anything that is not a game.

And they dared not refund me after a bug did not let me continue with the story. Now I no longer buy games from gog. Steam has received since then hundreds of dollars from me that could have been gog's And even if I play their future games, I will buy them from steam and I will pirate every damn piece of media they release.

  8. 2077 is playable and now exists in quality as it should have at Launch. It is not 'fixed' by a long shot. 2077 (the game) is the victim. I continue to question the chain of events and blame trail. From what I gather in the end it was a failure of management and oversight. 2077 was the catalyst which brought the house of cards down but CDPR was going down regardless because of the over promise under deliver situation internally.

  9. I was soooooo hyped for that game! I waited one year to get it and play on my PS4 Pro, and it works mostly fine and looks pretty good, and the story and characters are good, but I just don’t find the gameplay fun. Which sucks, because I love the aesthetic! I’m hoping that now the engine is finished that maybe DLC or a sequel will take this series to what is should be.

  10. If it dissuades even a portion of gamers from believing hype and buying broken unfinished games. Then that's a good thing. If CDPR learn from it & redeem themselves with a stellar Witcher 4 release. That's a good thing too.

  11. i think ur insanely misunderstanding what the stock shit means/meant, their stock holders DUMPED MILLIONS of value around the time of the launch. it didn't lose value as a game company, it lost value as a dream stock. aka it isnt EA

  12. I would like to get back into the game, but not before patch 1.6 or even before the big 2023 dlc. The game is much better after the patch 1.5, but it's still mediocare at best, which only proves how bad the game was on release, even on PC.

  13. I never bought Cyber punk. When The game was released the way it was, I just started playing a different game. Guess I forgot about cyber punk. Too many games get released be releasing games broken. Witcher I'll wait till initial reviews.

  14. This just sucks as a gamer, I just finished playing it and it was amazing with the updates, really sticks with you in regards to story and building connection with the characters, this project deserved more and unfortunately will never get it.

  15. The depressing saga of Cyberpunk 2077 to me means one thing only: when you let a group of people who are only in it for the money run a company, products such as Cyberpunk 2077 are what you will get nearly every time. The attitude is GET THE MONEY AND FIX IT LATER. Prove me wrong, you won't be able to. Even "fixing it later" might not be on the table. The company deserves its lower stock price but how many responsible for the debacle have been sacked? My guess is none and the ones who left are the ones who cared about the game all along.

  16. I never touched the console version but it's still unplayable on PC. Not because of game breaking bugs, but because it's just a boring, uninspired, pretender. It isn't an RPG. It's a directionless, awful mess.
