The Aliens Invade | Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty #38

Cyberpunk 2077, that game everyone loved, then hated, then loved again.

And much like every other RPG that seems to come out recently, I am the disembodied voice in the head of another person who doesn’t sound like me, which is very confusing. If by Role Playing Game you meant play the role of a man who is going to what he likes, then yes, I am ready to role play.

  1. I do find it highly interesting that you manage to find the arguably 'worst' option for most quests just like that. It must be a gift. Don't take me wrong, you are playing the game in your way and I am not telling you that you, Sam, did wrong. V fucked up so many lives already because of the dialogue options you pick. Claire is a lot happier if you talk her down before the race and you get two free cars out of the quest that way. I know, keyboard warrior telling you that the quest solution you picked was wrong. Just telling you about the options. Also, engagement for youtube.

  2. The plot is that corps have taken over the world, like that's the plot, right? Also it was the car inductry that led a smear campaign against people who got hit by cars to down play how dangerous cars are. That's where the phrase "j-walking" came from, it was used as an insult to blame the people getting hit by cars. So yeah, damn corpos.

  3. What does it mean to display a (presumably archaic) trans flag in Cyberpunk when far more invasive and radical body modding is routine? Why is the one visibly trans character in the game afraid of cybernetics when cybernetics are everywhere? Is identifying as trans in 2077 more like a niche fandom, something like being an otaku or a Russian Civil War nerd?

  4. The thing with Gary ties in with NightCorp secret plan (the night is coming as he says) and the blue eyes of the men who took him are an important detail: you would have uncovered more if you had hacked Sandra dorsett hard drive during her quest and will find a lot more details in the new Peralez quests. In the end it’s as Johnny says, always the corpos behind everything
