  1. I just want to say the vram and swap fix tweaks are amazing and have improved performance across all my games. I love the Witcher 3 on my steam deck and I have it modded with hd retextures and lighting mods and needed to keep it locked at 30 with low to medium settings for a smooth experience. I followed your tutorial for rdr2 and now cyberpunk and I can get a buttery smooth 60 on Witcher 3 with medium to high settings

  2. Exactly what I was looking for, I don’t currently own cyberpunk but I know it’s a hard game to run and the results were interesting to say the least, keep up the good work, this is really gonna help everyone tweak their settings optimally for other games too, 4GB of VRAM didn’t make a huge difference here but it could be a game changer for other games

  3. Nice video, really like all the researching process and the conclussions :). There's one thing I don't really understand tho: most people claim that VRAM parameter on the BIOS to be the minimum reserved VRAM for the GPU (1GB by default), but it can get a maximum of 8GB shared. So this would mean that for games which need, for example, 12GB RAM for the CPU, the Steam Deck may get 4GB RAM for the VRAM automatically, without touching the BIOS. Would this be the case?

If it is, I get that the tweak for reserving 4GB for VRAM and 12GB for CPU would be good for those games that consumes more than 12GB RAM for CPU (RDR2, GTA V, Cyberpunk, The Witch 3 (maybe?)), but not for those other games that consume less than 12GB RAM, right?

  4. I bought my brother a 256 model. Yesterday he called me saying it was saying slow charged while plugged in with official charger. Strange. So I told him to let it completely drain and then charge over night. Now he says it won't charge at all or turn on. Defective?

  5. Have you tried Red Dead 2 without the fix recently? A new update (stable release) dropped recently and one of the steam deck patch notes was “fixed crashes in Red Dead Redemption 2”, wondering if it actually worked?

  6. Yo yo yo, can you do some rdr2 gameplay with the vram fix + memory fix? I should be getting my steamdeck in like 2 days unless gls gonna mess around ( do some missions if possible )

  7. I think you should have included a "battery saver" preset, as well as expanded on the power consumption of the presets you presented. I think it's important to know how far you can push the battery for every game.

  8. Great deep dive you got there! Mind if I recommend on locking the FPS through Vsync at 40Hz rather than ingame or the Wayland lock? Got an extensive Golden 40 explanation on my channel if you're curious how and why that works – but I'm pretty sure you know that already. Amazing content, keep em coming!

  9. I like the tricks that were used to improve performance and the very simple explanations of how to maximize performance/quality, etc near the end.
It'd be nice to have similar performance reviews in the future, maybe for Elden Ring.

  10. i'm so thankful that i stumbled across your channel and excited to tinker a bit. could you possibly do one of these videos for god of war or horizon zero dawn to see how much we can get out of them on the deck?
