If you’ve played the game then you already know what happened to our bestfriend in Cyberpunk 2077! In this video, I want to pay homage to a character I know most of felt that we lost too soon. Join me as I talk about Jackie’s backstory as well as some facts and theories about why this beloved side character’s death played a big part in the events of the game.

I wish they hadn't cut Act 1 short, it was supposed to build the relationship between V and Welles more than the actual game did. But such is life.
The new Barcelona line walking into the hotel also shows Jackie is much smarter than he lets on. Have to agree, would have loved more time with the big gonk.
Gotta wonder how the story would have gone if Jackie had kept the shard in when he died…it woulda rebooted Johnny into the "empty vessel"
It was a shame they cut Jackie out so early either way, he was definitely a likeable character that they could have used a lot more
CDPR could have kept Jackie alive but comatose, and still giving that grief to V having him or her visit him in the hospital hoping he wakes up some day. and if he doesn't make that really tear at V knowing him or her has to pull the plug on him. or better yet have Jackie wake up like at the midpoint or close to the end of the game commenting on how much V has changed for the better or for the worse and giving more of a morality spin to it. there are so many ways they could have written that story instead of going the cheap and easy route of just killing him and bringing forced grief upon V.
you can choose not give the dead body from jackie to the family and then you get from the devil ending( arasaker ending) v speak with jackie(ghost) again but no many chose this options.
Fuckkk I miss Jackie
He did have siblings, but each of his siblings also died after joining the Valentinos.
Jackie… I miss him. His presence was way too short.
Despite Jackie being killed off very early he had became my favorite character in Cyberpunk 2077. I wish we could have gotten some more time with him.
keep up the awesome vids!! you're hilarious too! liked and subbed ofc!
There is a foreshadowing to Jackie's death that's easily missed. When you leave Victor for the first time after the rescue you can hear Misty telling Jackie to avoid reds, anything red. Konpeki plaza is put on Code Red, turning on red lights, and the Relic is red.
I’m still amazed how CDPR was able to make you care a lot about Jackie in like no time at all. You basically only know him for like 2 hrs of gameplay but they make your friendship with him feel so real in that time. He is the backbone of the whole game tbh like his death gets you invested in the story and into the world of cyberpunk. Love your content too, not enough people talk about the lore of this game
Great video man!
Man I just hope there’s a expanded prologue dlc
One of the most nothing characters ever. When he died I couldn't find a single fuck to give, having spent all of 30 minutes with him. I spent more time with every side character in the Witcher 3, even Kiera Metz.
Underrated channel editing and mic quality is excellent
New game plus: The entire game, except Jackie lives
Sup JB? just discovered your channel, I'm loving your content, just became your fan, keep it up!
They killed the single best character in the game in 40 minutes. Theres no fucking excuse for this. xD
I think that act 1 should of had at least 10 to 20 hours of story gameplay before getting to rhe heist
Just imagine though, had he flatlined with the chip in head HE would be the one to wake up and see Johnny.
