  1. This new intro turned out great! Good job MadQueen! It just a bit distracting during the show. Nothing major, it's fine for me, but maybe others find the frequently moving data animations distracting.
Why are so few views? Youtube is hiding your content again? 🙁

  2. Spirits: If you cloned your body, it has a different new spirit of it, if you copied your mind into an engram, it has a different new spirit. If you download your engram into your newly cloned body, it has 2 spirits. The engram will control your body's functions, but not his spirit. Just like the cyberware. If someone makes a cyberarm, it has a new spirit, if this arm is connected to your meat body, your spirit won't overwrite/kill/etc. the spirit of the cyberarm, it is only using the functions. And when your body is using the cyberarm, it makes the cyberarm his fundamental purpose, so its spirit will be "happy" and can develope his spirit higher. But it has nothing to do with YOUR spirit, only your humanism.

  3. What stood out to me about the meditation quests was the monk's location. One time we meet him in a park, and if you've followed the pedestrian pathways to get there, you'll have had multiple opportunities to take out gang members. Once the meditation is over, the most obvious way to leave is via the same route. Having gone through such a calming, peaceful experience, I had no desire to waste any gang members on my way out of the area. It's an example of quest and area design working in unison, and I wonder if that was by design or just a happy accident? Either way, the meditations were great, as was this discussion!

  4. In my tabletop 2020/RED game I always portray the setting as a Society of Addicts. Through accident of birth, personal choice or malevolent forces outside your control, everyone lives under the tyranny of diminishing returns. It contextualizes the mass poverty and explains how crass exploitation just seems to continue like clockwork despite there being far better options. "You can leave at any time" is objectively true. No addict, or no victim of abuse EVER likes to be told "you can leave at any time". Therein lies the ultimate challenge.

  5. In the case of human gods, they created or interact with humans, so they can probably relate to them if they choose. The god may be dumbing it down, but from they have to in order to communicate with humans

  6. Re: VDBs view is just that it is inevitable that the blackwall would eventually fall, whether malicious or not, and VDBs believe in tech, and value the net, they want to be free and powerful in the net, not limited by netwatch/society so they hope for the downfall of the wall, and want protection and guidance from Alt.

  7. The problem with rogue AI interacting with humans, for society and netwatch, is that they are not acting on the same paradigm, and that makes them problematic, where humans use technology to be predictable or serve purposes, Rogue AI act for unknown purposes with no structure. They could destroy society by accident
