Quest Director plays Cyberpunk 2077! #26

Read more about Cyberpunk 2077➜ https://cyberpunk2077.mgn.tv

This week we have spent a bit of time looking into Community creations and introduced a brand new segment: Narrative Council, where I speak about my methods of story creation and show one of the creative exercises that can be used by Narrative Designers. Afterwards, we have explored more of open world in Cyberpunk 2077 and did few gigs.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open world RPG that I have co-created. As I love talking about design, storytelling, and psychology in games, I have started streaming on Twitch and discussing it all with my audience.

My goal is to share everything I have learned over a decade in the AAA games industry, openly exchange ideas, explain creative decisions and encourage the next generation of game designers and storytellers to create.

  1. Thank you for the stream!
New quest design segment is awesome! I hope you'll keep it 🙂 And eventually we'll create a community DLC with Smasher, lunchboxes and MaiMai romances 😀

Also, thank you very much for featuring my comic on the stream! It made my day and even week <3 The last stream gave me ideas for a new one, I hope you don't mind me drawing something based on the streams once in a while ^^'

Thank you and the team for being so inspirational! Have a good week!

  2. I’m on my 3rd play through and in every one of em I can’t help but do all the side jobs and all the gigs, it’s pretty awesome when u can play through a game 3 times and have almost every mission every gig and every side job play out slightly differently every time, sometimes completely different .. cyberpunk is the shit

  3. If you ever want to reload a save during stream because you want to stealth a mission I dont think anyone would hold it against you. I know i did that all the time LOL

  4. Your streams are just like your quests in Cyberpunk. You know how to make it interesting and unique everytime. I hope you stay in CDPR for a long time and make a sequel for Cyberpunk 🙂

  5. Real fucking talk around the 32 minute mark. You're a tough cookie, Pawel. Although I do still think the hate is over-represented and the vocal haters are actually just a really loud minority. Cyberpunk rocks, it's just rough around the edges and missing some features that could've elevated the experience that little bit more. Lot of us are just excited to see what you guys are working on 🙂

  6. I cannot wait to check out the memes this amazing community is going to produce based on the new segment! That Smasher romance quest line session was *epic*. I wish people could see the chat activity because the comments were hilarious and Sapphire and the people that joined in the middle of it were completely lost and asking what the heck was going on?!? I was laughing so hard I couldn’t breathe 🙂

  7. Hey there! I don't make it to your live streams, but I always watch your youtube vids. I became a huge fan of CD Projekt Red after the release of Witcher 3, just like many others. I just wanted to share the two quests that always come to mind when I hear the Witcher, Carnal Sins, and the Missing Wife Notice. Even though they're side quests you guys poured soo much love into and it truly showed. Keep up the great work you're doing.

  8. i think instead of 2 expansions like you did with Witcher 3 you guys should go for at least 3 expansions plus more and make the first paid expansion ideally for free as an apology for "misinterpreted/deceptive marketing" especially to those such as myself who did not request for a refund because we still cling on albeit barely to the notion that cyberpunk 2077 will have a No Man's Sky style comeback (also Pawel you might want to take notes from Hello Games in terms of how to make said comebacks most game industry bigwigs seem to "ignore" instead of paying attention to what the other is doing; they are stuck in their own little cloud cuckoo lander fantasy world). worst case scenario if you can't make the first expansion for free you best go "all in" with it. making that good first impression with the expansion counts into the road to recovery! This game is an untapped potential gold mine still don't be so quick to bury it like how EA did with Anthem or even Mass Effect Andromeda. Another factor that should be "considered" is that success of the supposed rumored Witcher 4 game ultimately depends on the success of Cyberpunk for reasons I am sure you can understand.
