Many have heard of the Crystal Palace, yet so few have even set foot inside. Why you may ask? Because the Crystal Palace is reserved for the 1%. The richest, most influential, most powerful not only in Night City but in the entire world. This gigantic space station boasts everything from casinos, to restaurants, to low gravity pools and luxury apartments with panoramic views of Earth. This city in the sky is sponsored by the one and only Orbital Air, which shuttles the wealthy to this jewel nested between the Earth and Moon.

  1. This IP has so much potential for expansions. Not just towards space, but to other countries as well. I really hope someday we'll get to explore Neo-Tokyo, Neo-Seoul, and others. Even post-apocalyptic Busan with creepy leftover AIs would be really good to delve into.

  2. Great video as always. Personally I'm 90% sure we won't be visiting the crystal palace in the expansion (though I've been wrong many times before). My theory is that the fancy shots throughout the trailer are set in the north oak casino in some kind of infiltration mission, and the shots at orbital air will have something to do with either the PL ending or the new ending in the base game. I feel like going to the crystal palace throughout the game would make the sun ending feel a little less climatic, but either way it's exciting

  3. Thanks for your dedication!
I do have a feeling that the Crystal Palace maybe a mission where you have to blend in with the crowd and talk to certain characters to achieve an objective. Maybe the 'James Bond' element will be in the Crystal Palace mission(if it is a location to play).
Makes me wonder if the space launch site in Night City will be accessible in PL.

  4. I think it is a high possibility that it will be in the DLC because there were a lot of rumours around the DLC about the Crystal Palace and the combatzone. So if they only make 1 DLC that means that they probably combined 2 dlcs into 1 mega DLC

  5. I’m always surprised people don’t know this: V clearly kills themselves in the Crystal Palace ending. They shoot themselves mid mission in order to become a Legend. Claire mentions early in the game that dying mid job would make you a NC Legend.

  6. Honestly thought we'd go there in the base game …. Ive been asking for it Since launch 🎉 id be happy if we could visit at will … But I'll settle for any kind of space visit at this point the arasaka space station was well im sure you know lol lets just say i expected more. All crying aside 2077 is still one of my fav games of all time its very good been playing off and on since launch 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Cant wait for the dlc

  7. Personally I think the Crystal Palace was planned for future expansions before CDPR decided to focus on a single big Expansion. I imagine we would have had Dogtown/Combat Zone as the expansion that is connected to the main map, sort of how Hearts of Stone added the additional areas in Velen while the Crystal Palace would be available as a separate map similar to Blood and Wine. Now hear me out, this could be a stretch but there has been leaks that talked about the game originally having 4 planned expansions(before the launch fiasco that is). Maybe, they planned an expansion for each Major Ending that could have benefitted from one, aside from the expansion that would have focused on Dogtown. Aka, Crystal Palace ending, Nomad ending and possibly the one where Johnny keeps the body? Idk something of that sort.

  8. Yeah, they seemed to be really good about keeping things quiet lately. The sheer size of the expansion really makes me question if it's just Dog Town and the changes, which are supposed to be significant. Still, 70 GB. That's a full game size. If it's just the changes and the new story added, it's probably due to the new specifications for graphics I guess.

I don't mind that this is added during the game play during the base game story. You have to admit though, of all the cliffhangers, the one with V in space is without a doubt, the biggest. I truly believe that they cut a ton of content from the original game. All games go through this process, but Cyberpunk 2077 got a huge cut.

My first memories of this game were scenes that do no exist anymore. Crawling walls with mantis blades, pushing a scav's head underwater and shooting him, T-Bug using her netrunning skills against you, V opening a car door while shooting out, etc. The screen showing that famous 40-something minute long video posted that the final game was possibly different. I just think that they might be adding stuff back in.

Maybe the Crystal Palace ending is possible. Who knows. The police and Max=Tac system is the least of my worries, but that seems to be what most people care about. I'm sure whatever they cook up will be good. I'm looking forward to it.

  9. Hey man, I’m glad you’re back covering Cyberpunk again. But who are you though? I remember a livestream where you studying for med school? I hope I got that right, that things worked out for you.

  10. Amazing video as usual, I wouldn’t expect any thing less from my favorite cyberpunk lore channel. Glad to have you back. I’m curious what happened to your music you used in old videos? Is it copyrighted now, if so that’s a bummer

  11. Honestly I think if it was the crystal palace there'd be big windows with open views into space with earth as the backdrop. Seems odd that grand ballroom in the trailer has no sign its in space.

  12. I wonder if the base game ending change they mentioned is V actually reaching Crystal Palace and doing the heist, giving us a definitive ending for that route. If that ending is good or bad depends on what you did in PL.

  13. The trip to space and the Crystal Palace was the ending I got for my first play through of CP2077. I was really confused at the time and still don't fully understand it but as I keep reading, it's the 'rare' ending. So for me, going to space won't be a new experience but this all looks so cool anyways.

  14. i feel like the scene of songbird and reed being dressed up all nice and stuff might be in the North Oak Casino & Resort. There's even a scene of Reed and V driving out of Dog town and into the badlands, could be them heading there from the Southern route into North oak honestly.

  15. Thanks as usual for an excellent background and hypotheticals. While I believe Crystal Palace will be reachable it depresses me that I think it will be underwhelming simply because its almost as big as Night City itself and I don't CDPR can do it justice given they will have put a lot of their effort into Dog Town. Obviously IF the Solution to Vs problem can be solved by saving the President (which I don't believe as even Arasaka couldn't save V and they built the chip) I'm not certain how the ending will change.

Now I hope I am wrong and you get to, like Geralt at the end of Blood and Wine, kick back in a nice home enjoying the sun and chatting with your favourite character (Yennifer if you are wondering). But that isn't the Cyberpunk way. I would like to see an ending where the President/Militech solution is that the chip is rewritten so that both V and Johnny remain together with no or little physical/mental trauma. That to me is the best V can hope for and should be hackable.

Then, given there are no more DLCs coming (boo) have regenerating missions that allow you to continue working Night City for as long as you want. The problem I find is that I clear every mission and there is nothing left to do. Takes about 100+ hours but you can complete every side mission, police call etc and then Nity City is empty. Now Witcher 3 had the same problem. My Geralt had nothing to do. He could even play Gwent for money with various competitors just his butler. The World was dead. Assassin Creed Odyssey solved this by recurring missions and the war which kept on going. Something similar should be possible with Cyberpunk (too late for Witcher 3).

Thanks again and stay safe Choom.
