18:56 Conclusion: So Is Cyberpunk 2077 Worth Playing Now?

As pretty much everyone knows at this point, Cyberpunk 2077 had a disastrous launch back in 2020. The game was unfinished and extremely buggy for most players, especially on PS4 and Xbox One. It became popular to trash the game and talk about how unpolished and disappointing it was. But CDProjekt Red has made numerous patches since the initial release and now the game is in a relatively polished state. And while the game is far from perfect, there are a lot of things to enjoy with Cyberpunk 2077. At the end of the day, I believe Cyberpunk 2077 is worth playing now.

  1. I'm starting to hate these massively empty maps like cyberpunk/valhalla just ugh.
I don't want to spend 98% of my playtime pointlessly driving because "realism".
Screw "realism". Give me small, closed set pieces and 98% gameplay.

I get things like no man's sky where mindlessly exploring is the point. So yes, cyberpunk had some wicked parquor (unlike that awful valhalla). The buildings and stuff that could be climbed in cyberpunk was outstanding. But that could have been done in closed sets and made part of the story (depending on character builds). Take all the effort put into pointless empty mapspace and put it into story.

I'd rather replay things with different characters ala mass effect. Than get so bored looking for content, or travelling around pointlessly huge maps I give up on a game.

    Yeah.

  2. I pre-ordered Cyberpunk for PS4. I didn't know much about it before I pre-ordered. I wasn't one of those people who had been excited for it and knew everything there was to know. I only experienced one glitch. In a bar, a NPC was standing ON a stool rather than next to it. I chuckled and moved on. I enjoyed my time with the game.

  3. When did Todd Howard lie? Fallout 76 released exactly how they said it would. It wasn't great but there wasn't any lying. CDPR did more lying with this title alone than I've seen Bethesda do across all of their games.

  4. I just started playing this game a week ago, and I love every bit of it. Always wait for a game to be fully patched before playing single player games (at least a year now) and you will always have a much better time. Multiplayer games are a whole 'nother story.

  5. The game itself is just not that interesting, patched or not. If they kept it small scale instead of a big open world and is they didn't spend most of their budget on Keanu Reeves, they probably could have had time and money to add all those promised gameplay features.

  6. What I find bizarre more than anything that this game went to post gold in this state just what sort of testing did they do , it was clearly not ready by the initial launch any sort of playing clearly was at best post alpha , cd project red should be ashamed to even launch it in that state it just wasn’t playable only now would I even call it up to launch standard, still full of bugs and now there scaling back developers team , just who will want to buy the dlc if they are going to not fix it still honestly they should just do an andromeda and write this title off saving the dlc money for offer projects it will never recover it’s development costs now even with a budget cut . It was just to big a project that makes the world far to big than it should have been on current tech , all those play testers or bug fixers list launch should never be employed again

  7. The biggest problem was CD Projekt Red not tempering expectations, when people start acting like it'll be the greatest game of all time with infinite decisions then it's time to reign it in a bit. It was insane how hyped people were for this game, the game they were expecting could never exist.

  8. the game is insaaaaanely good, and it's absolutely worth playing 💥
I didn't expect that I would like it so much and I feel bad that so many people just blindly hate it 🥲
this game definitely deserves a second chance!

  9. Cyberbug 2077 is still as shit as it was at release. No number of 'hotfixes' will change the lack of content in this game and the zero quests that change the story based on your choices.

  10. Love Cyberpunk 2077. But then again, I'm on Xbox Series X so it always ran pretty decent. I would absolutely purchase DLC for it. Cyberpunk >>>>>>> The Witcher games (they look boring).

  11. I truly belive that cyberpunk was still rushed even though the fixed a lot of the bugs. You can really see this in quests how things could escelate very quickly without much thought into the plot.

Also where are the metro trains ?

  12. I resisted Cyberpunk 2077 because it was not my usual vibe. I have untold hours in Witcher 3, Dragon Age trilogy, Horizon Zero Dawn, Skyrim. But when my gaming buddy suggested I would like the story Mass Effect Legendary had and was correct, I loved it, he also said I should reconsider Cyberpunk when I was done. This spring I finally relented and created my corpo V. Along the way I walked everywhere, did all the things, invested time getting as many endings as I could get with her, and indeed I did fall into the story. I recently finished my streetkid path with a V that I call my bargain basement David Beckham, and I worked him toward a secret ending that made so much sense for him and was extremely satisfying. I am currently roaming around Night City with a female nomad V, new to the big city and enjoying her travesty fashion sense, just to be complete. I would never have guessed a year ago that I would be 420+ hours into a game that was not my vibe. Still would rather walk than drive…just saying.

  13. If you like open world action adventure looter shooters, then yes it is worth playing. If you like deep open world rpgs, then no, this game is not worth. Wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle.

  14. Still meh for me. Still buggy after all this time. I'm honestly mad I don't like it. Can't really get into the story. Guess some games are just that way

  15. Literally my least favorite loot system in an RPG.

Remember how Fallout New Vegas gave us cool weapons that had backstories and sentimental value, and they scaled with our skills rather than [LOOT LEVEL] so we could stick with our trusty favorite?

    FUCKING DO THAT. EVERY TIME.

  16. I remember when saying a bad thing about this game (that wasn't even out) would get you ratio'd.
Lended a friend's copy out of curiosity (around patch 1.3) and besides great stories and fun characters, real glad I didn't pay for it.

  17. for anyone trying to get into the game its on sale right now but ends on the 7th so now would be the time, its only $14 on some marketplaces and its the best time to get it

  18. Doesn't matter if the game reseved alot of update they didn't include a lot of cut content they promised to be in the game so its a big no for me

  19. I enjoyed the story but once it’s completed the game get barren and pointless. Still felt worth the $60 but didn’t live up to the hype. I feel bad for the devs that made a fun game that never had a chance to live up to the unrealistic expectations that CDPR created

  23. I wish rockstar would get the same hate as cyberpunk does cause they actually fucked over an entire community unlike CDPR they are trying and literally are leaving red engine behind to be on unreal engine 5 like the hate is the only issue i got with cyberpunk 2077

  24. Disagree wholeheartedly on the fact that since character customization exists, what’s the point if we can’t see ourselves in the cut scenes.

Even From Software had this down better then CyberScam and their character customization is more on point then this.
