Never Fade Away (ENDING) | Cyberpunk 2077 Corpo Gameplay Part 17

In the ending of Cyberpunk 2077, V faces her end as she decides on what to do about the relic. I really didn’t expect this ending to make me cry or even impact me to the point where I’m still thinking about it days later. Despite the flaws CD Projekt RED created something wonderful.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character’s cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you.

  1. Thank you to everyone who supported my Cyberpunk 2077 playthrough. Didn't expect to cry at the ending but this game was honestly so heartbreaking yet so much fun to play. Let me know what you think of the ending I got (and if you got a different ending). Thank you again to CDP for providing a game key for me to play this! ❤️

  2. Oh man, I have a weird relationship with this ending. That 2nd assault on Arasaka Tower with 'The Rebel Path' (Johnny's theme) playing is just *chef's kiss*, but losing Rogue, Johnny, and having Judy leave to find her own path , and ultimately choosing to go out in a "blaze of glory", just make it a sad ending for me, even though I still love it. V gets what they originally wanted in the intro of the game, but whether it was worth the cost of it all…

Anyway, really loved watching your playthrough, Jessica. I'm hoping that you might consider doing additional videos on the other endings, but even if thats not on the table, it doesn't change how much I looked forward to each of part of this run, and how enjoyable it was to watch you and your V's journey.

  3. Fun facts:
    1. If you play as V for the finale and decide to give Johnny your body, he'll go out of his way to try and convince you not to. It shows how much he cares for V by the end

    2. Despite Alt's best efforts, in some of the side quest you learn that some of the rouge AIs have escaped through the cracks. They've been brainwashing and eliminating people from behind the scenes. In fact, in one quest we get mention of men with "Blue Eyes" taking someone who helped you discover a conspiracy away….sound familiar?

    3. If you have a better relationship with Rouge by the end of the game, your end decision leads to you stumbling into her while she's talking to her SON. And if asked if he's Johnny's ,she never gives a straight answer
But it would explain why she sold out and why she has so many mixed feelings about Johnny being back, despite being long dead (plus a slower rendition of The Rebel Path , Johnny's theme, plays in that scene)

  4. I picked the Panam ending. 'The best ending' really depends on how you view things and who you dated. Judy and V got to be together so I had 'the best ending' for my V. Huh, slightly bummed out tho. I was so sure you would pick the Panam route too but oh well. Anyways, thank you for the series, had a good time watching it.

  5. What a wonderful Playthrough – I loved the whole series. It is sad in some ways that it has come to an end – thanks Jessica for all your efforts. I will certainly go back and re watch your playthroughs from the beginning – they really add another dimension to the game !!. I hope you come back to the game gain, the Kerry storyline would be a good one for a separate playthrough (here's hoping 😊)
I agree the writing and key storyline was so engaging, it made me think about the choices I made, and I freely admit that I shed a tear or two along the way. I followed the same ending as you, but I am doing another playthrough to explore the other endings, I am intrigued to see what happens…

V says that maybe they find a way to save her but we'll never know untill the DLCs come out.but idk why i feel like they're gonna find a way to fix it.

  7. My ending was "The Star," since my V wouldn't trust the "easy" deal given to her and she would want to die on her own terms.

So, the ending I got was basically, in my opinion, a "You didn't get what you wanted, but got everything you needed" type of ending. V was still dying, but had a family (and girlfriend) who loved her and she was happy to be able to write out and end the story from her own pen, which is why I feel the "Star" ending is the most fitting for my V.

  8. I feel like Johnny thought he was more important than what he was. Especially when he was like ALT got captured because arasaka wanted me meanwhile he didn’t know how great of a net runner she was

  9. The endings in this game is like a nod to "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost.

"I shall be telling this with a sigh

    Somewhere ages and ages hence:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference."

Whatever choices you made, from start to finish, It's on you to accept it or regret it…
But choices will be the same, and that is to make a difference.

  10. Okay, so I'm back with more observations about this ending. To be honest, this ending feels damn near perfect. I feel like it really kind of closes every character's story. Best part about it is how this is entirely a passing rite for Johnny, into the other world. And I find it so poetic that in the end, he becomes a part of Alt, finds his peace with her. Didn't hurt any less though seeing how V was doing her very best to turn him around on that bridge. V was basically giving Johnny a taste of his own medicine in hope that he would be pissed off enough to actually go and take her body. And with Rogue dying, it's sort of the end of an era, it signifies change. Remember that one conversation at Clouds, with the doll? Everything changes in this ending, Arasaka is finally broken, the last legend of the old days finally went out in full glory, but new legends arise, such as Crispin Weyland and V.
