The Armadillo is random per new play through character. I have around 15 locations, and with each play thru i need to go visit each until i find it.
Yes, you are correct in that North of the highway there's only one location.
I think you should do an "Armadillo watch" video as there's a ton of people who don't understand how to find them and/or how legendary Armadillo's work.
There's a lot of misconceptions out there.
What i've found about the game, is that the heist is only important to gamers who want/need to open up the rest of the map.
I've played both ways and both are fun. (meaning heist early game or heist later once Watson is conquered)
