Everything Cut from Cyberpunk 2077…

NEW MERCH: https://merch.streamelements.com/gethip

In Today’s video I’m going over the disastrous launch that Cyberpunk 2077 has had and listing everything the CD Projekt Red had shown off in past gameplay video’s that was cut from the final game. This includes cut quests, story missions, gadgets like the flathead, Meredith Stout alternate quests, choices being changed, different actions for Jackie, changes to the story, Keanu Reeves playing a bigger part as Johnny Silverhand, and much more.

  1. Aside from the technical aspect, crowd system, and graphics… I am shocked how the game, after hours , still havent flashed me in terms of gameplay. Yes, the art direction and city is fantastic, but art ain't anything. Deus ex had similar bodymodification, sleeping dogs also let you buy food on the street for boosts, GTA driving, watch dogs has similar hacking. Though the story and atmosphere is great, the gameplay is objectively bare in comparison and offers nothing new.

  2. My guess is that the crunch and until December delay (you know the one they got death threats for) was for cutting content and making it run better on 7 year old, under powered dust filled hardware, I was willing to wait, why do execs and investors never learn their lesson, you risk losing hundreds of millions of dollars to gain only a few million more in comparison.

  3. Also, they calimed relationships will play a big part in the story, no, it doesn't 🤷 it's a 20 second cutscene, a few texts, a final apparences/mention and depending on what you do, two more one-line dialogues.
They calimed styles matter in NC, no, it doesn't 🤷 you are either gonna be looking good and be a punching bag, or look like a psycho that just escaped a mental asylum and have good status, unless you maxed out your character or glitched some parts to craft higher level clothes.
Near release they claimed their testers played something like 140 hours and haven't even finished the game, no, they didn't 🤷 I'm 92 hours in, completed all side missions, gigs, main story missions, all possible endings, bought all the cars without using money glitch and did a lot of free roam. I barely even used any fast travel… I read, listened and waited for all the dialogues without skipping.. where is my 140+ hours of gameplay?
The life path thing is a joke… It made no difference and the current version just simply made no sense.
It's a huge disappointment, especially after waiting that long.. I don't blame the developers, they did what they could in the time frame that was given to them. I blame the management, they basically made the developers rebuild a game within a year and half, they lied and they deceivied. And now they try to play it down as if all our problems were just bugs and performance issues. No, we can power through poor performances and bugs, out issue is the lack of contents and the flat out lies.
I would have refunded the game, but I have waited for so long, I have decided to keep it and play it through. As a reminder, that I will never ever be fooled and hyped again.

  4. Plot difference. That's what I have been saying from day one. Great to see this in your video. They changed it when Keanu joined. 3th person view/cutscenes hurts the most for me to be honest. Great vid. Got a new sub

  5. Your life path absolutely changes parts of the game. IE, I was able to walk into a full on Arasaka complex because I was corpo and tricked a guard to allow me through the main gate. I literally choked one dude out, hacked a computer and left. Had I been any other life path the option to passively walk through this complex would not have been there. Play the game before making these statements, because life paths alter your experience all the way through the game.

  6. Good vid mate! Been playing on pc from day one. Ran Into on minimal bugs. Never had a crash. I'm having fun playing it. But fuck it's such a let down. So much missed potential with all these cuts. Do you think overtime some of these things will be added back in ? Or the modding community will make this game what it should of been?

Either way it's too late. This game should have a masterpiece instead it's a good game. ( on pc anyway )

  7. I would have rather waited an entire extra year. Games are just not as fun anymore cus these devs just want to make a quick buck. Gone are the days where we get completed games. This is what happens when you let investors control your shit.

  8. The more I play, the more I grow angry and depressed and ultimately left disappointed for the things that I want to do in the game or experience but could not. I got invested in the characters which is great and the facial animations are outstanding but holyfuck is the world they showed seemed to have a lot more depth and fidelity then what is currently in now. Also pretty sad wake the fuck up samurai scene did not make into the game.

  9. This makes me realize only one thing, that Cyberpunk 2077 is a flat out scam. I had a feeling CDPR are overpromising the moment they took out 3rd person mode and used the silliest excuse for it, but i never thought things will be this bad. They straight up lied about almost everything.

  10. Tbh cutting backgrounds out of calls seems to make sense to me as if we get tech like this (ik FaceTime) but if it becomes standard people would want some level of privacy on where they was (hiding the brain dance booth 😬), just my take on it 🙂

  11. They should have not advertised all those sky-high next-gen features that even the old AAA studios would have big problem to implement. I did not follow the hype, I expected it to be somewhat a hybrid of Witcher 3 and Deus Ex.

  12. I have the game and only played a few hours. The performance is what made me stop playing but I realized this game is not what we were promised. I saw past all the bugs and performance issues to realize what this game really was. I’m sure the story is great, but is that it? I wont try and get a refund. I’ll wait like a year until they patch everything, add more content and until I get a ps5 since they promised a free next gen upgrade. I do not want to play this game in its current state.

  13. My Girlfriend : "I thought you were trying to get a refund for the game"
Me: "I tried, buy Xbox wouldn't give it to me"
My Girlfriend :"oh, but you're still playing the game , isn't it really glitchy or something?"
    Me: "Yes, and yes"

I hate so much about this game and love a few things that bring me back I guess:

What I love – I kind of like the way the the combat seems work, that's pretty much it.

What I hate – outside of the game just literally being broken from bugs and glitches – the entire loot system is broken. I think they had some cool ideas, but we're inundated with loot and meaningless nonsense. It's just a grind. Really wish the game dynamic worked a bit better. I would love to get away from loot altogether. Why not create a system where certain things are generated on a daily basis – for example, own an auto shop, it creates loot for you daily, do missions to make that shop perform better, etc.

I do recall how the game preview ages ago made it sound like the NPCs are going to recognize you or be more involved. This was and is a complete lie, like so many of the points you hit on.

  14. damn im a sucker for game teasers and im lucky i missed the 2018 one otherwise i wouldnt be able to play the game. couldnt get through the first part of the vid about character creation because it just made me feel so frustrated over all that was cut. when i played it, i thought cyberpunk was finally the one to break the cycle of shittily made modern games that feel like the same game over and over, but it was just the beautiful setting and visuals that blinded me from the true emptiness of cyberpunk 2077.

  15. To people who still say the game is good:
    1. Most of the features that have been promised aren’t in the game
    2. The games release has been incredibly unstable (and the game is still unstable while I’m writing this
    3. Lego city underground, a LEGO GAME has more features than this
    4. In the game, You can literally run straight through a shootout and get through the level without firing a single shot.
    5. There is no AI in any civilian Npc whatsoever

I could go on but you get the point already.

  16. If I’ve learned anything from car concepts I’ve applied them to video games. Don’t get too excited when they show you pictures and models. And in a game definitely don’t expect anything from videos and demos! Because they will get different from the final product. Smh I know someone could make a better game out of this than CDPR

  17. Oh boy, more hate bandwagoning that uses previous ideas (that might be implemented in dlc and expansions even) to try and trash on a game that is an easy 8/10 for sure.

Like just compare it to Witcher 3. I love that game too, maybe more with all the context of the novels and previous games. But it had even more bare bones npcs, open world segments, even less choice differences, even less variation with its designs, and a very similar amount of glitches at release, many of which that are still in the game to this day. If you’re gonna praise Witcher 3 for being an amazing work of art, cool. If you like it more than this, that’s great. But don’t act like it’s any better than this just cause you didn’t see what was cut and don’t remember how empty and pointless the world was there too. These worlds are beautiful settings for the amazing stories, and for that they work splendidly. If you wanted gta, then you should’ve played that. If you want something that’s kinda similar with its focus on story and immersion in said story through the whole ride above all else kinda like Witcher or mass effect, then you owe it to yourself to get this on next gen or a competent pc

  18. I'd say it's a massive downgrade in this game, no longer groundbreaking like what they claimed, but i'm somehow OK with that (except the police AI). The game wanted to be many things at once, but they realized after 2018, the scope of the game has to be minimized, or the game will never be finished. I DO hope though, videos like this will appear in the devs radar and upgrading it in the next patches or even an expansion pack

  19. They just released the finished working storyline. So basically an early release build.
Id understand why due to COVID stopping them from working properly and needing to pay their bills.
Hopefully itll be like GTA and you get everything later and you wont have to buy the cut content like Destiny.
