Today on IGN The Fix: Games,
We’re used to seeing next-gen console upgrades that improve visual fidelity or framerates, but it’s so far been rare to see next-gen only features that centre around AI. However, one update to Cyberpunk 2077’s NPCs was deemed too demanding to bring to PS4 and Xbox One. Cyberpunk 2077’s latest 1.5 patch came with many, many changes for all available platforms – but one next-gen only feature caught the eye. Covered in yesterday’s Cyberpunk announcement stream, CD Projekt Red announced that the game’s crowd reactions had been improved, both for pedestrians and vehicles.

Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, game director on The Witcher 3 and co-director for Cyberpunk 2077 has started up a new AAA studio in Poland called Rebel Wolves. The studio has already lined up its first project, a AAA dark fantasy game built using Unreal Engine 5.

And it’s all brought to you by Horizon Forbidden West!

One tree donated for each “Reached the Daunt” trophy unlocked, until all 3 reforestation projects are completed (based on estimated 288k trees required). No additional purchase necessary to unlock trophy. Promotion ends when maximum donation is reached or on 3/25/22 at 11:59pm Pacific, whichever is earlier. 1. There is absolutely ZERO excuse on the AI crowd system not being able to run on last gen. Considering GTA V released 2 generations ago on the PS3/Xbox 360 and has WAY better AI than the “next gen” cyberpunk update.

  3. Too powerful? They're brainless NPCS 🤣 probably the worst I've seen in recent games. Look at rdr2 for example, it was amazing with NPCs everywhere living a life it seemed

  4. Cyberpunk 2077 should have just been a PC game at launch. But CD Projekt Red has gone "corporate", meaning that they're just trying to satiate investors who want quick returns as fast as possible – so they pushed out a game that wasn't ready for release on the consoles. The PC version was always better and more stable.

  5. Anyone remember the game Prototype on Xbox 360. Which was a city filled with hundreds of npcs, mutants and vechiles (and explosions and attacks lol). Cyberpunk meanwhile cant run more than 5 npc on ps4 pro

  6. We all knew this…just the people that were clowning cyberpunk were oblivious to how things work and the power gap between old vs new machinery…we all knew this though but the publicity industry needed something to distract us and talk about…it’s how they make their money (horribly) but people that were doing it…idk if they didn’t care to be wise to notice why things acted buggy on their old gen or if they were really mean people just giving negative promotion to something that they did not create themselves and criticize things that is complex to function, because they know their place in life to be lesser then those that create even the simplest structures in these complex functions…pretty much people are mean to dev because they are lesser people then devs or people give the critiques something to talk about even if it’s dumb and most people understand what the problem is and how to solve that problem…either way, it’s pretty distracting to progress.

  7. Doesn’t do much, Ai needs to be rewritten. It’s just how it works unfortunately. This is why we have far better Ai from years old games. Don’t expect it to reach the e3 level because it can’t be done, it’s not coded the same. This is why their investors were suing them because the e3 gameplay wasn’t the same game, so basically fake.

  9. The game was meant for next gen, never for the previous consoles.
I've never had an issue with it on PS5 since day 1.
Its like putting a V8 into a Mini.
All the bitching and whinging is by people playing it on an inferior console.
It should have been labelled a next gen game because that's what it's always been.

  10. Obviously cdpr shouldn't of released cyberpunk for last gen it's 10 year old hardware that's on comparison too asking Xbox 360 to run Witcher 3 it's not going too happen. The CPU's in the last gen were already pretty outdated when they released In 2013 games being made in 2020 are very lucky the last gen can run at all
