Cyberpunk 2077 Walkthrough Part #3 – [The Ride] Pt. 2

V’s got a nice scanner upgrade along with some others, and now they’re ready to meet with Dex. Exit Viktor’s shop and walk about through Misty’s. Check in with Jackie who tells V that Dex is waiting for them just around the block. Walk out to the street and accept the call from Regina Jones. She tells you more about a side gig you can take on later, but when you do, make sure you’re ready to do some non-lethal takedowns.
Take a right on the street then a left at the intersection. As you walk down this street you’ll see a marker on a parked car. It’s time to meet Dex. Enter the car.
Dexter Deshawn has questions for V, and you can ask him some questions too. Like, why V? He tells you a little about that if you choose. He’s got a “pre-mission” for you involving Arasaka. This is where things start to split. Here are the gig missions:
Maelstrom – After you ask Dex about what’s up with Maelstrom, take the shard he offers. Dex tells you about a Flathead the gang Maelstrom stole — a single-use, prototype combat droid bot. Dex needs you to get it. He tried to buy it, but the former leader who sold the droid to him was replaced by one of the others in his group and won’t give the droid up. There’s also a corpo agent named Meredith looking for the prototype and she’s desperate.
Rendezvous with a Client – Evelyn Parker wants to meet with Dex, and he’s sending you instead. You’ll need to meet with her at Lizzie’s bar. Evelyn is the one who put this job up in the first place.
After you’ve gone over the mission details with Dex, exit the limo. You’ll level up and get a little pop-up about Street Cred, followed but a call from Jackie. He discusses the mission with V and can offer some additional insight to the two sides of your next gig.
The most important thing he asks though, and something you’ll need to consider is this: which part are you planning on tackling first? Selecting “Visit Malestorm first” will start The Pickup mission while selecting “Gonna start with the client” will start The Information mission.
Before you run off, consider doing T-Bug’s side gig, The Gift. It’s right near where you were dropped off by Dex.
