if you need direct side by side comparison its not that big of diference, also many scenes are way too dark or too bright…gpus not ready for ray tracing, maybe in few more generations when gpus reach 1nm, not now.
The materials are more blurry with the overdrive. I am disappointed.
Didn't expect that but with some opti it runs on 4k on a 3080 with DLSS performance at playable framerate (it dips below playable at times let's be honest) I just did "The heist" like that and it really was looking great and running ok enough
too dark, for ray pathing Dev should model objects and levels in specific way. dam, good but I just have no 4090
I don't see any difference, 360p video from my phone. Marketing and other bs for rich kids it is. Gameplay matters.
in nextgen CoD it will allow to see enemies in reflections
Can you make a difference showcase like this with vanilla without any ray-tracing vs overdrive, both on max settings?
I work with path tracing for years, that shit didn't impress me. I don't know if it's something with the algorithm or the textures, but it doesn't look realistic at all. It's a good sign that we can run close to real time, but that's too biased for me.
Why not show the framerate you complete goofster
I love the cyberpunk music it makes it feel more cyberpunk vibe keep it up
Honestly, even though I see the difference, I doubt I am going to notice much during active gameplay.
This cheesy song reminded me how much pop influenced CP2077 is. Darker mood in Deus Ex is always better.
still a dead game
looks just like a reshade to me. doesnt look better, just different, subtile colour changes most of the time and sometimes a bit sharper reflections which i would never see while playing.
but you know what i will recognize? the fps hit. i need 80+ fps on cyberpunk or it just feels off.
Holy mother of fuck, that music is ANNOYING.
I've played this and it gets really artifacty at times.
barely any difference
Very expensive contrast change
It seems like the main thing overdrive does is make those light rays more like true rays against a retina. That is to say rather than breaking through a surface and looking like a ray so to speak. It looks more like a glow and bloom. Kind of neat. The reflections and other surface defraction are nice as well.
RTX looks good when it comes to Sunlight and not shiny textures but makes everything looks like glass. For example the muddy puddles should not reflect so clearly
i like the rain detail effect on overdrive… the rain drops looks longer, does overdrive makes add graphic more details? i thought its mainly ray trace…
Really nice places to see the difference!
Just tried it on my 4080… lighting is definitely more realistic especially at night but at the same time everything is darker which is really annoying
Absolutely useless, designed only to take our money.
My 3070 already getting old lmao
Yea but In my opinion..it's quite subtle .
Look great.
2:38 path tracing has some splotchy artifacts going on with some npcs
I am not impressed with the performance if the card is using AI to generate completely new frames in between the real frames. I feel as though graphics cards will become weaker and just rely on the AI stuff to get good performance. I also have a feeling that if you disable DLSS 3.0, that the performance is complete shit
Night city is such a beautiful city
I dont see difrence😄
General difference between Ray tracing and Path Tracing are less blurry reflections everything else is very subtle. Not worth to sacrafice performance.
song name?
A lot of people, especially the young and the ignorant don't quite understand what an accomplishment this is.
This is the type of shit developers went to sleep dreaming of for decades: Realtime pathtraced lighting, the shit that contributes massively to CG offline renders looking as good as they do.
Just a few years ago this shit wouldn't even RUN on anything other than a render farm, and next it was frames per MINUTE. But now we've got honest to god millisecond frametimes. Goddamn, what was the last big rendering advance in the industry? PBR materials? Deferred rendering? Introduction of normal maps?
think my biggest issue here is maybe It's the DLSS but the overdrive scenes just look blurry in some examples that make it look bad vs the vanilla.
Great comparison!
huh, the gras still doesn't cast shadows, but shouldn't they cast shadows if it path traces every object?
so we're still not entirely there.
The artists have got so good at rasterized graphics when we finally have real path tracing I struggle at times to be impressed by it.
They should of done more bug fixes with this update.
Some of the NPC's faces look weird, like smudged.
I came for the video but stayed for the music
Zero difference
It looks like there are still some concessions made on the path tracing mode, some objects still don't cast shadows as seen with the grass at 3:03.
Song name at the beginning?
The path tracing is pretty sweet, get 70-100 fps on my 4080 with dlss performance and frame gen on, every other settings maxed out too. However, what stands out to me so much is actually how impressive of a job the artists did with the rasterized lighting, a lot of places there's little difference, some there's massive differences but man the artists really nailed it out of the park with this game and it even blew me away when it came out and still does to this day.
WOW Amazing shocking difference! True nextgen experience! Not just cyberpunk, it's THE cyberpunk!
I know the tech is pristine but not gonna buy an overpriced 40 series to get it..Nvidia is trying to push this narrative but dont fall for it guys. Fckng thieves..
rename the game to CyberMirror or OnlyMirror
