Greetings, everyone.
Today we’re (re)testing Cyberpunk 2077…wait, too soon? Nah, a new Nvidia driver came out recently with optimizations for most DX12 games, and CP 2077 is, allegedly, one of them.
My current PC specs:
-CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 (stock settings) with Coolermaster Hyper 212 Black RGB (w/2 fans, push-pull).
-Mobo: MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC.
-GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3060 Ti Gaming OC and WHQL driver 522.25.
-RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT (2x8GB) CL16 DDR4@3200 Mhz.
-Storage: PNY XLR8 CS3030 1TB NVMe (O.S.), Samsung 750 EVO 500 GB.
-Case: Fractal Design Meshify S2 (Intake: 2×140 Front, 1×120 Lower Front – Exhaust: 1×140 Rear, 1×120 Top/VRM Area).
-PSU: Corsair RMx 650W 80+ Gold.
-O.S: Windows 10 Pro 64bit (v.21H1).
-Monitor: AOC AGON AG251FG 1080p-240Hz.
-ReBAR and HAGS OFF
-DSR uses 33% Smoothing

Download the Nvidia Hotfix / Patch for the Glitched Map issue in Cyberpunk 2077 here: https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5400/
Follow instructions and it’s quite simple, two clicks really (no need to reinstall driver or anything). Remember, if you already have the hotfix downloaded, or a newer driver, you won’t need this patch.

The new 522.25 driver from Nvidia helps mostly RTX 30 series cards, or so they claim, but I’ve seen people posting performance improvements even on Pascal and Turing.
That said, for Cyberpunk 2077 here and my current system, the improvements I’m seeing are quite small, they are there, and certainly can be noticed a bit better on regular gameplay rather than on the in game Benchmark, but the matter is that the game, as of patch 1.6, still runs worse, considerably worse, compared to how it ran back in February, with update 1.5.
This new driver helps closing that 1.5 vs 1.6 gap, but it a minor band aid. I’m eager to test the Upcoming 1.7 update, which I assume will be the one adding DLSS 3 and hopefully performance tweaks and more stuff.
But, since I’ve been actively playing the game now and then ever since 1.6 dropped, despite the inferior performance in 1.6, the game is still great to replay, IMO, well…I decided to re-do some of my benchmarks from the last video.
As usual, I hope this can be even remotely useful to any of you. If you’re still enjoying the world of Cyberpunk, I salute you, you have good taste. The game may not be perfect still, but I still get drawn into its world now and then, every new update.
I’ll see you in the next one : )

The official Nvidia Fix for the Map glitch is here (also in my video description): https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5400/~/cyberpunk-2077-may-display-artifacts-when-bringing-up-the-in-game-map-after
The Fix will be delivered via OTA update likely early next week, but you can follow those instructions to use it right now (I did and it works nicely).
the video is veeery informative . and you did a lot of work actually into this .. i don't even have aa 3060 ti and i enjoyed just the way you are putting data together . great work brother
how to fix the map issue in CP? after the driver update the map went crazy.
this video was very informative.👌
i have another question regarding performance in my pc.
I have i5 12600k with rtx3070 OC with single stick of 16gb ram 3200mhz without xmp enabled.(2133mhz)
I am have facing this issue where I turn on dlss to performace or ultra performance or balanced my gpu usage gets very low in game, to something like 70-80% . at ultra performance mode it gets even worse to something like 50-60% gpu usage, because of this no matter what dlss setting I apply I get the same fps. it's doesn't increase at all.
my cpu usages reaches something like 70-80% which is common in cyberpunk game, but never 100% . At native resolution everything work perfectly. my cpu is 70-80% and my gpu is at 99% . but as soon as I turn on dlss my gpu usage drops from 99-70% depending on what dlss setting I use, acting like my cpu is getting the bottle neck even though it doesn't reaches 100%
do u know what could be the issue here?
the issue persist no matter what drivers I use.
is it the ram causing the bottle neck or is it the gpu drivers .
I face the same issue with most games with dlss
Its annoying that cyberbug doest utilise tje processor fully.
And the in-game benchmark values are incorrect while comparing actual gameplay
