  1. In short, IGN is telling you to get I Spy perk from Quickhacking tree, so you can find enemy Netrunner and prevent them from overheating you.

You can also buy a cyberware that grants immunity to burn status (from Badlands area) or one that converts burn status into damage buff.

  2. Love that upgrade. I like to hack allot with my build. So I got that perk early. I'm running a stealth/handguns/blades/hacker build. For hacking I only use skills that help with stealth. Ping and reboot optics are a must. Especially once you can cause it to spread among enemies. I once had a group of seven attack me when I broke stealth and they all went blind at the same time. Helpless fools never had a chance.

  3. This is one of the most frustrating aspects of this game for me. Almost any time I'm in a larger battle, I spend nearly the entire fight in an overheated state, because there's either a camera just out of sight, or there's an enemy camped outside of radar range.

I'm not saying this shouldn't be a thing, but you shouldn't be able to be overheated when you and the thing doing it is completely out of sight one another.

  4. That skill tree is a waste of time all you need to do is use one of those healing hypos the one that has healing over time and you will breeze through that overheat like it's nothing.

  5. Breaking line of sight helps subsequent attacks from being uploaded to you, but once one you get the upload meter progressing breaking line of sight will not prevent that program from continuing its burn. Best four ways to deal with it on a more permanent long term solution: 1.) There's a piece of cyberware that can make you immune to burning if you have a high body stat to use it, or alternatively there's a clothing mod you can get that will also render you immune to burning. 3.) When you get a burn uploaded, go into your scanner – you should be able to see the data stream leading you to the netrunner that is attack you so you can eliminate them. 4.) Eliminate enemies from stealth. They can't target you if they can't see you.

  6. Hacking isnt satisfying in this game … or at least getting hacked.
there should totally have been a way to counter hack. something like the Breach protocol mini game but each time you select you alternate with the other hacker or you two try to input the code the fastest.
other wise selecting an option isnt that cool.
maybe people who arent hacking that is fine but other hackers should be more tough.
