Farewell to the Jackster 😢
Oh, Skippy won't replace Jack but it's still an interesting companion, and let's see how much you enjoy that setting mode but more important how good (if any) you become using it. I can't wait to see what will happen with that mix V+Skippy next.😅
Jackie's bike is one of the best in the game. Motorcycle > Car in this game.
Also, guerrilla not gorilla Jesika!
Puppy Loving Pacifist….you have chosen wisely! 😉
Hey Jesika, love the playthrough, bit of advice for quickhacking, grabbing the memory wipe and sonic shock quickhacks can be useful for stealth.
Tier 3 Sonic shock deafens the enemy and makes them unable to communicate with allies.
Whereas tier 4 Memory Wipe, although it costs a lot of RAM, causes quickhacks that are queued after memory wipe to not be traced. (You'll need a tier 4 cyberdeck and a lot of RAM.)
The takedown perk requires you to sneak up and taking the enemy down after quickhacking to lower the trace, so it's great when you are taking things slower.
Also, different cyberdecks do different things, so upgrading your getting an upgraded paraline, you get bonus damage with direct damage quickhacksand better work with smart weapons and monowire, if you grab the biotech one, it improves your dot damage quick hacks.
You still have Jackie's number in your contacts and you can call him. So if you miss him – try it
I think if I was V I would probably be a puppy loving pacifist! Hah 🤗
takedown perk: you sneak up on a gonk, grab him. Go crazy with quickhacks, you tracing will go up. At this point, you perform the takedown on the dude you are already grabbing, which will reset tracing to 0. So you have to actually sneak in person. It is a super useful perk for stealthy netrunners, not so much for shotgun netrunners.
Smart guns: you will need a smart link (hand implant). Smart guns need some time (~a second, or one and a half) to lock enemies, this can be decreased with perks. If you simply shoot, the bullets are distributed among visible enemies. If you aim (right mouse button) you can choose one enemy to focus on. Since smart guns don't miss once locked, weapon types with bad recoil and spread are ideal, since their weakness is fully fixed by the auto targeting (ie. SMGs mainly but also assault rifles)
Jackie's Ofrenda is a totally unnecessary part of this game….but it is vital to the deep humanity and love in this story. It's so not 'just a game'. That passage from Hemingway says so much. Don't neglect to return to the Coyote Cojo in a few days…there are things to do and find there. Upgrade your cyberdeck at a ripperdoc…then you can use higher Tier quickhacks. Skippy is kind of a gift in the game…but notice that you don't need Smartlink cyberware to use him [it]. There used to be two or 3 Smart guns in the game that worked 'smart' without Smartlink, but they seem to have been removed from the game. Try scanning that hologram of the 'dearly departed' , just for fun.
I totally missed Skippy the first time I played. He's cool but he's not as funny a talking weapon as Lilarcor in BG2. The stuff Lilarcor came out with was great.
Anyhow. Main quests. I recommend you do Takemura's chain first, then Ghost Town and its chain, then Automatic Love and its chain. This is because the Automatic Love chain unlocks the Phantom Liberty expansion areas and that feels narratively like it fits best at that point.
you might wanna return to the El Coyote Cojo in a day or two, just saying
You can also tap V when riding the bike to make the wheels light up.
