  1. 720p + balanced FSR2… so, not 720p. If we're doing "not 720p", we might as well do "not 1080p". "Balanced" has a multiplier of about 0.59x on each axis. Balanced would make the internal render resolution equivalent to 752×423.

I would much rather upscale to the native 1080p resolution and use the "performance" FSR2 preset which would yield an internal render resolution of 960×540. Given the performance shown in the video, that should be doable, and it would look miles better than a 720p output, since upscaling to a higher output resolution gives much better visual quality, and a higher internal render resolution gives FSR2 more detail to work with.

"Ultra performance" with an output resolution of 1080p would have an internal render resolution of 640×360, which would definitely be pushing it in terms of quality, but it would be an option to give even more performance if needed in a GPU limited scenario. I really wish more games supported a true dynamic resolultion scaling system for FSR and DLSS. When you're not GPU limited, it's nice to bump up the internal render resolution and get better quality, but it's too much of a hassle to have to go in and flip the settings manually.

  2. I don’t understand how you get anything above 60fps in cyberpunk on the Ally, I bought one a few weeks ago and even with FSR on ultra performance, 720p, lowest of low graphics and at 30w with aggressive fan curves and I can’t even touch 60, I dunno if that BIOS 319 is the cause of my performance issues but it’s pretty annoying

  3. All I can think when I see these is how badly it needs a decent grip – I'd hate to drop that kind of money on something and have to slap a stick on 3d printed grip from Etsy on it

  4. Been going back and forth from my 3070 laptop and my ROG ALLY to do my first ever playthrough of this game. Absolutely love it, and going from the laptop to the Ally doesn't feel like to much of a downgrade at all honestly.

  5. With today's updated Bios 322 I'm getting 1080p 50.5 fps HIGH TEXTURE, FSR set to Quality, low for the rest. Also 67.8 fps 1080p Low textures, FSR to Ultra Performance plugged in turbo mode

While 720p looks fine on this, with the new Bios update 1080p is buttery smooth with better fidelity. Check it out, PRIME!
