Cyberpunk 2077 in 2022 has had new life breathed into it after the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners TV-series aired on Netflix. Being a good little Youtuber, I headed back into Night City to find out if the latest update is worth playing through the entire game for. These are my thoughts.

  1. Wtf spoiler warnings man wtf seriously!? I was checking reviews mid way through the show because I feel like playing the game again. Then you just randomly fucking spoil the ending right in the beginning without warning. Wtf dude

  2. This game is literally the saddest fucking game I've ever played. Idk if it's just because I'm older now and I'm fully aware of sadness in games but I feel actual sadness about the story of V

  3. because of edgerunners I actually bought cyberpunk 2077 and it was worth every penny. Okay the glitches can be annoying, but sometimes they do add an un-expectancy that is really funny. And the story is also really good. So for newcomers like myself, definitely get it on sale, it's so much fun. I do wish you could look more crazy though with your cyber enhancements, but maybe there's a mod that gives you more customisation options if you're on pc. (I would have also loved to see a cyberpsychosis meter or something related to that when you have to many enhancements on low level, but maybe an idea for the future as well)

  4. I don't care what anybody's opinion is. Cyberpunk 2077 was and always will be one of the absolute best games out there. It's like experiencing real life events. I loved and platinumized it when it came out, and I'll always love it all the same.

  5. Just bought it for 30 bucks for the series X, totally worth it now, the game is finally playable like at least it should have been at the release, story is good, the world is amazing and it doesn’t feel boring, at least for me

  6. To be fair, very few Roleplaying games allow you to re-spec later in the game. The whole point is to increase the replay value of the game. For instance, having played through the game as a Net-running Knife thrower in my current playthrough, I am thinking it'll be cool to do a playthrough as a Mantis-blade/Sandevistan wielding killing machine, & abandon Net-running altogether.

  7. Short anwser: No.

People and game journalists went from Hyping the game before launch to hyping the idea that this will one day be a good polished finished game in the future. It was mediocre at best before the shitty anime show and it still is after. Plain and simple.

  8. bought and played it after the 1.5 patch. Had a few bugs and T-poses the 4 firsts hours of the game but closing the eyes on the open world collisions and stuff, it was pretty bug-free. Never experienced a soft lock or had to reload the save to progress. I'll dive again for 1.6, first because the game itself is despite of the terrible launch really awesome, but most importantly to traumatize Night City with that James Norris build

  9. I actually stopped playing when 1.5 came out, because for some reason they did something in 1.5 that essentially turned the performance of the game way down (I'm playing the game on a 1050… crypto miners made it so I can't afford anything better). Wiith 1.6 now it's as good as before. I notice that the city becomes empty when I drive around, and really stuff takes several minutes to load. I don't know if this is because it's the difference between running the game on a HDD or a SSD (I read somewhere that basically most the bugs are caused by running the game on a HDD because stuff took too long to load).

  10. Its worth it right now and it will be even more worth it when patch 1.7 drops and it will be even more worth it when other patches and Phantom Liberty expansion drops.

Also official modding support with Redmod has been a blessing

  11. I've never experienced that a mission wouldn't load or that the game crashes on my Series X, not even when I played the game on the pre-1.5 version. Also, I haven't had any serious bugs and absolutely no T-Posing at all, so guess I was just lucky. But what I can say is that sometimes, when I'm driving around, objects take ages to load in and that kinda destroys the immersion. But that's a problem I've only experienced on my Series X after update 1.6, so that actually made the game worse for me lol.

  12. It’s a lot better now they fixed most of the glitches in it. Don’t get me wrong I still get a few of them but at least they’re not game breaking. Now I’m finally able to play it and enjoy the concept they had for it originally.
