Cyberpunk 2077 Is Broken Almost Beyond Redemption, Game Review

Read more about Cyberpunk 2077➜ https://cyberpunk2077.mgn.tv

The poor state of Cyberpunk 2077 has ruined CD Projekt’s reputation in the gaming industry and with their consumers, but the problems of the game run deeper then optimization issues and bugs.

The issues are far deeper then that, and of such a nature that it won’t be easy to fix. From balance problems, gameplay problems and unfinished stories.

  1. "Sigh" – Once, on another YT channel I told someone:" Yeah, CDProjectRed seems pro-gamer, pro-consumer, game ready when its ready, and all that stuff. But once the money and fame gets to the heads of the upper management, in a decade or so, they will probably be making as bad, lazy and broken games as Bethesda (76), or EA (FIFA, Madden, Andromeda, Anthem…)… You just can't trust big corporations nowadays, man!" -I called it! And guess what happened. Now I wish I was wrong…I hoped that they would make at least few more good games before the sh*t goes down, but aparently, they did not. As a fan (or former fan), I'm… dissapointed, it will take them years to repair even the half of the damage done to their reputation. The abused trust of the fans is entirely another matter. I'm going to wait a year for more behind the scenes info about what just happened to pass a judgement, but right now, their future looks grim. 2020 is full of dissapointments…

  2. Nice. Thank you for your thoughts. I was surprised you didn't mention the fact that it's not an RPG though, but it was marketed as such. There is only ONE moment that alters the story, in which your choice has a real impact, only one. This is what disappoints me the most.

  3. Rly nice consumption on the whole issue. I never played it and never will find the time to do so but i rly love the way u summon up a game as big as this and its super easy to follow your thoughts and your voice in a way. If u only have so mich time but are still interested in the things that are going on in the gaming industry (especially rpgs/WoW etc) your vids are just smooth and relaxing updates on the matters. I really appreciate that. Keep up your content and stay healthy!

  4. Well said, Costin. As I see it, the unfortunate state of Cyberpunk 2077 is a result of the extremely poor management from CDPR and the fanboyism that plagued masses after the release of The Witcher 3. The vast majority of people turned the blind eye on the visual downgrade and the lack of interesting/impactful quests after the Red Baron storyline in TW3. They didn't pay attention to Gwent and how CDPR ruined the game with its inability to settle on one version of the game and improving it and instead kept it in beta for years before giving it a big redesign called "homecoming", which resulted in a disaster that flushed most of the game's community leaving CDPR with only its biggest and clueless fanboys. People didn't listen to the former developers of these games that complained about the CDPR management and the poor working conditions there. So there we have it, the game developer that wasn't really held accountable for any of its mistakes, that rode the hype train like there's no tomorrow and decided to crash it just to cash in big time.

As for the game itself, I think it's a diamond in the rough. Its strong points are its well-written main story, memorable characters, interesting side quests and the beautifully-crafted Night City. Many mission locations are well-designed allowing you to take different approaches depending on your particular build and playstyle. Unfortunately, there's not much in terms of meaningful choices and consequences, but it came to me as no surprise after TW3 which was fairly linear. When it comes to gameplay, the game has its issues mainly due to the fact that your character is decent at everything right from the start. While leveling your attributes can have an impact on some dialogue choices and other attribute-locked stuff, it doesn't change the fact that you can waltz through the game on the highest difficulty without pretty much any investment into character development. Here's hoping that future patches will remedy that along with the game's technical issues. By the way, I disagree with you that stealth is pointless just because the game doesn't reward you for it with absurd amount of extra xp like Deus Ex does. You get bonus cash/weapons and role-playing rewards for it quite often, and I think it's enough. Stealthy playstyle is my favorite, but I don't think that every build should be shoehorned into it for the sake of min-maxing since that kind of ruins the RPG aspect of the game.

  5. What I don't understand is how a game can be this unfinished after all the years (at least five…right?) they've been working on it. What the hell have they been doing?

  6. Difficult to adress, cause even worse would be if enemies were bullet sponges, that is a real immersion killer. I rather take down enemies easily but also get taken out easily myself, give xp and some crit rewards for stealth and we are good to go, with a little more damage taken on players side even with op armor. Best regards and happy new year

  7. I agree with the media but CDPR were pretty good at advertising at supernova hight levels, basically most players thought this would be a revolutionary open w rpg with all elements from past great titles. CDPR fucked up. Period, crossing my fingers for a better game but not holding my breath.

  8. It would take HUGE patch to fix the bugs, glitches and AI (total lack of) and multiple dlcs to add the missing content…
I don't see it happening. They maybe could do this by big DLC but would they do it for free?
I'm personally so disappointed to this game in so many levels that I have hard time seeing how this could be fixed. And few bugs and glitches I have encountered aren't the ones I'm worried about which I have faced with pretty decent high end PC.

  9. witcher 2 and dark souls were buggy on release too. dark souls performed bad in the poison areas. skyrim was more enjoyable for far more people. witcher 2 was a bore. just my opinion
