Quest Director plays Cyberpunk 2077! #37

Read more about Cyberpunk 2077➜ https://cyberpunk2077.mgn.tv

The stream started from a chain of catastrophes: I lost electricity in my apartment, when it was back I had no internet, and when I finally managed to connect, Miles Tost, Senior Level Designer from CD Projekt RED started heavily glitching. Nevertheless, we had crazy fun streaming Cyberpunk 2077 😀

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world RPG that I have co-created. As I love talking about design, storytelling, and psychology in games, I have started streaming on Twitch and discussing it all with my audience.

My goal is to share everything I have learned over a decade in the AAA games industry, openly exchange ideas, explain creative decisions and encourage the next generation of game designers and storytellers to create.

  1. I was seriously expecting them to talk about patch 1.5 and well…
I have no clue what that was all about but I wouldn't be surprised if they said: "Go back to sleep Samurai. The patch is not out yet."

  2. Thumbs Up For 1.5 Patch!
Also, dunno if i was the only one, but with ray tracing ligthing i had problems in some cars. Panam missions if i remember correctly, litterely no light in cars, on all tree, medium, ultra and psyho.

  3. I have to say I agree with the thing of content creators making fake news on Cyberpunk honestly because GTA 5 has the same issue with one particular YouTuber who clickbaits everything just because someone on Twitter typed out one sentence with no substance and from what I've seen there are 2 people I know of who do the same thing with Cyberpunk only this it's with random posts on Reddit

  4. Out of all the people garnishing hundreds of thousands of views reading 10 second rumors from articles, this channel should have millions. I love watching these videos because it helps me understand the complex world of Cyberpunk much better. It's really a game you need to take your time playing rather than rushing through it.

  5. Paweł, are there any plans to rework consumable items? I feel like there is never a reason to use them, which, by extension, makes "food" vendors not worth interacting with(especially since food and drinks can be found everywhere for free).

  6. Totally agree with you about Rockstar Pawel. I enjoy their open worlds, but their quest design needs some serious work in my opinion. I hope the next GTA makes some improvements.

I’m still waiting for a game one day that combines the CDPR quality of quests with the Rockstar quality of open world interactivity. That is my dream game.

Edit: By the way, I Walk The Line was literally my favorite quest in the entire game. I thought you all did an awesome job with all the mystery and intrigue. I loved the twist of why Placide really sent V to the mall.

  7. One thing I'd love to see, in far more Gigs, is the ability to use Dialogue as a means to complete our objectives-whether that Dialogue option be tied to a Lifepath, a specific Stat (Cool, Intelligence, Tech, Body for example) or due to our relations with a specific faction in the game. I was already caught off guard, by a few Gigs, when I discovered that I could complete them via dialogue, rather than by stealth or force.

  8. The hack you and Mr Miles received, was very unexpected. Unlike you and your friend Mr Miles I was not arrogant. I didn't take the easy path. Arasaka-Sama has the top security. Arasaka, an empire built to last.

  9. Everytime you two are streaming in a team I am smiling like a kid in "Toys are us" My favorite episodes <3 I hope there will be more of them in future and I also secretly hope you are going to be Miles guest too. Whatever your subject is going to be, I´m in!!!^^ Are you going to upload the first part of this stream before it crashed?

  10. Listen up Pawel. You nor ANYBODY at CDPR has the right to fucking criticise ANYBODY in game development after the fucking shit you pulled over the past 2 years. You have cheated lied and blatantly falsified work and consistently lied to and let down people who have paid you money to release an overhyped buggy piece of trash.

You even went as far as to insult EA and ended up with shit on your face so if I was you I would keep your fucking mouth shut about other devs and concentrate on not making your company look even worse than they already do. Fix your game and keep your fucking opinions about Rockstar EA and everyone else to yourselves

    analysis for cyberpunk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxDJuTqmdBs&t=4050s
i really liked it and i think its a great look at some major tone and design philosophy for this game

and pls never change first person story telling for this franchise. thats the soul for this game and what makes it special and unique
anyway, u know better than me

btw im still waiting for 1.5 🙂

  12. Thanks for another nice stream. It's always good to see Miles talking about level design. I hope that someday you will be able to invite someone from the writers/the narrative team – I'd love to hear how, according to Tomek Marchewka or Marcin Blacha, to write such sharp and funny dialogues, create good character development, avoid cliches, etc.

  13. Hi Pawel, what do you think the interest regarding this product is dead?
Doesn't it make you think that maybe there is very little to be proud of in what you have delivered?
The only interaction people has with CDPR in their socials are insults
Very few like, interactions and comments, people have completely lost faith in you (in my opinion is deserved)
After 1 year and 2 month we are still waiting for a stupid "NextGen"update.. 😕

  14. About that 1st person view… im mixed, there are moments when it works really good and moments when its just boring… i would like to see options to idk, sit or smoke cig, or drink something or lean against the wall or something not just stand in front of a person (im talking about dialgoues where we can move around) also during "cutscenes" (dialgoues where we cant move around) i would like to see OPTION to switch camera from 1st person to more cinematic view

  16. Such a fun time. i loved it. Thank you for liking my pictures! I enjoy doing day in the life or candid shots. Zwei (rockergirlfriend) modded Kerry's old clothing back to him for a private mod and you know about the jackets with pinky/zwei working together on them. your friendship chemistry is so fun to watch. i enjoyed learning about different ways to go through the GIM. Cant wait til we get to see you know who in Never Fade Away! My brain is going crazy with the dates the book give with Samurai and trying to match things up. Looking forward to next Sunday.

  17. Love that Miles loves the Clockwork Mansion. Dishonored 2 is my favorite game. Just finished replaying Dishonored 1 and have started Prey (more difficult than either of them). CP2077 felt to me like the cyberpunk counterpart to Dishonored's steampunk world, with the first-person immersive sim type stuff.

  18. I think you're being way too harsh on yourself, Pawel. Given what a shift in genre & perspective this game was for you, I think you did a bang-up job….especially when we factor in the pandemic's impact. There aren't many games that make me want to do multiple play-throughs, so close together, yet I have played the game 3 times in about a year.

  19. Hey Pawel thanks for the stream! Have y'all ever thought about treating the fixers like the notice boards in witcher 3? For instance you visit the fixer when you first enter a new part of the city, meet them in person, they give you around 5 gigs. Then after completing them you report back to the fixer and get 5 or so more. It might be far too late to implement this but I think it would really make the world feel more alive while giving the fixers more of a presence in the game, while keeping everything within the lore. Anyway love the game can't wait for next gen and 1.5. With love from America!
