How is the input lag tho I tried fsr 3 and frame gen on tlou1 and it’s really bad
Just recently sold my OLED, going to wait on the Deck 2 now because the new upcoming chip looks promising
Is this a windows only feature?
Can you check out jedi survivor now that denuvo has been removed? I know sometimes it helps and sometimes it doesnt. Plus patch alledgedly addresses stutters.
Do you use the steam UI to cap frame rate and Hertz? Seems when I do regardless of which setting 30/90, 40/80, or 45/90. There is quite a bit of input lag, vsync off. Allow tearing enabled. Is that just the way it is?
they also added XESS 1.3 in this patch.
xess works better for me than the fsr3, more frames and waaaay more stable frametimes. it's a shame we can't use fsr 3's FG without FSR (which is a possibility in few other games).
I walked literally everywhere in cyberpunk I don't ever remember using a car other that scripted sequences lol
I keep getting lighting artefacts after this update. Like, there are random flashes on some textures that last around a frame, normally starting after a call which needs a game restart to fix. I don't know whether this is an FSR 3 issue but I've never had that happen before.
Been looking for an excuse to jump back in. I still have not finished the DLC
They have outright said frame generation is meant to push past 60FPS… if you’re trying to frame gen from sub 30fps to go higher it’s going to look and act terribly. Frankly it’s not meant for Steam deck period
Even after subscribing to you for a year, “deckers” still sounds like a derogatory slur
I was running the DLSS Enabler mod that replaces the DLSS option with FSR 3.1 + Frame generation the past week until now when they added this and it broke the mod.
With the mod being 3.1 instead of the official FSR being 3.0, it was running flat 60fps 99% of the time with frame gen enabled in the vanilla game areas but now with the official implementation it looks a whole lot worse and it stutters so much and drops frames so frequently it's just a mess now so i'm just sticking to playing without frame gen now.
Even on my desktop PC (13700k, RTX 3090) i was also running the frame gen mod and had to remove it, now with the official one i have about 15fps less, and the quality of 3.0 upscaling is noticeably worse than the modded 3.1
This update broke fps on my 4070 Super. I went from 85 PFS to 35. I've already checked the settings and did a fresh download of the game.
Man, do a Jedi Survivor test, they have a new patch
Game looks terrible on Steam Deck in dog town. Roll on Steam Deck 2
the ROG Ally was getting over 100fps with frame gen, wahhhhh i need a Deck refresh badd
