I think there's evidence there that points to Rhyne dying of cardiac arrest during a particularly raunchy night at the club. At least that's what the dialogue option said. The other one was not making a statement either way. The cover up was to keep his image intact.
There's also messages on the computer about holt telling them to cover it up plus holt knew rhyne would be there from the city hall bd. I don't think holt killed him but he sure covered it up good Edit: forgot that the bd rig for rhyne kills you so yeah, holt probably killed him
I’m not sure how you got these voice lines but I got the same exact ones by making it all the way to Queen Hyena without raising the alarm and then arm locking her from behind and asking these questions.
This still doesn’t prove anything tho. Holy could’ve just been squashing a media firestorm before it started by falsifying his cause of death. He could’ve actually cared a lot for Rhyne and didn’t want the public taking a big shit on him and all his work bc he died from a heart attack in a strip club. That’s why no matter what you find out, the game never allows you to tell the Peralezes that you’re 100% sure Holt was behind it. Even when u go with the dialogue option saying it was him, V still doubles back and says something like “ah no I’m not positive just strong suspicions.” I mean, what Han said when u get back to Chubby buffalo’s wouldn’t have made sense if there was any malicious intent involved. He talks highly of Rhyne and said he got shit done as mayor, it’s just nobody involved wanted to see dragged thru the mud bc of how he died.

Perhaps, Holt didn't actually kill Rhyne, but there was a force behind him. Holt is just a puppet. Things can be as complicated as Johnny said.
Nice find, on the first playthrough I think I smoked everyone, which essentially nulled this option out.
