The ending literally wrote off the possibility of David becoming an engram. Would cheapen his story if they did lol
Even though it is true that Jackie was "saved" as an engram, that was after his death, he just became a talking recollection of his own memories, unlike Silverhand who was just injured at that time and kept his consciousness.
I would also love to have more of David and Becca but I feel like their end, as sad as it was, is much more fitting of the tone in the cyberpunk world
In the anime, Atom Smasher actually gives David the option to go full borg, which David turns town, before Atom finishes him off. Closest thing to respect Atom Smasher could give.
Well because in a game you are the character and its not controlled by plot so you can just become strong easily just doing all side quest and then to main story. Also you can just upgrade everything to the max either way unlike a show where its decided on the storyboard.
Games and a show are different since we as a player can freely do things unlike characters in a show also we can just respawn constantly so we can just cheese bosses and hoarding like 100 pounds of healing lmao
Engrams is only possible If the brain is intact that's why Jackie was copied and it seemed he waa shot in the head also Adam's wrist gun is basically like a powerful shotgun so hes not gonna come back

The absolute best thing I wish CDPR would add is if you hit Smasher with a dildo in the final fight he just says something like "did you just hit me with a fucking dildo?". That would be amazing.
Getting a dlc where we had to get an engram of David out of an Arasaka facility and send it to Lucy on the Moon would be so fucking cool
David could have become Adam Smasher 2.0 if he had taken his time with the chroming

I think you’re really underestimating how strong V is by the end of the story, especially after getting the best weapons, the best cyberware, having a greater degree of combat and hacking experience from his various Giga throughout the game, and as everyone has mentioned having inherited some of Johny Silverhand’s combat experiences via his engram. By the time V kills Smasher, they are legend in their own right (As seen in the Sun ending).
Legend letting us know he could still be alive and lucy and him could have a happily ever after. But this is night city!

I thought that the only reason that David didn't go psyco was because of the drugs he was pumping into his body.
Idk but I Kinda like Adam Smasher as a gonk he is , his interaction with David about the construct showed that at the last instance he still showed some sort of mercy , I’ll pardon Smasher hero of the 4 corp war hahahaha he gave me Bane vibes

Also Adam's most likely alive take into fact that in some boss fights whether its against story characters or side characters you can blow off their head. You could not to Adam's no matter how much you double tap his corpse.
