Yeah probably not a great game to hop back into. I got the platinum and kinda forced myself through because I figured if I didn’t do it then, I’d never do it. Especially because of so many missable trophies.
I think I landed on not liking the game. It’s a weird one for me. Some things I like, but it can also be such a slog. Some of the most boring open world stuff overall. Especially those NCPD side ”missions”.
It’s not without its moments. I enjoyed punching people to death for the majority of those lamer missions.
You can turn of genitalia but I think the option is in the character creator at the beginning of the game (they cover with underwear). Also I would suggest playing the PS5 version of the game. The recent ps4 patch has improved ps4 stability but the game still chugs on ps4, especially in the open world. The other option could be getting a ps4 pro if your not already using one (but it still chugs a bit).
