Dude I don’t care about the bugs, they can fix those easily, my problem with the games is all of the cut content,(if there ever existed) the story is like 20 something hours long and you can’t say that the game is meant to be replay able bc it doesn’t matter which start you picked, it doesn’t change anything except the beginning
I have a decent PC Maybe thats why it feels good. 1 crash. Fun gameplay, amazing world. Yes some issues, but they were mostly so minor I can't fathom the hate?
They apparently seem to think that you are working on the game on top of being a content creator covering the game. Therefore you must’ve known that the base consoles did have issues and therefore labeling you the term “shill”. It’s crazy the stories That people create in their minds to justify their actions and their words
These days, especially with the internet, people are too quick to take to extremes: absolute and blind praise and crushing over-the-top criticism when the truth is somewhere in the middle. From a PC perspective I can see that the game does have issues, but it is still a good game that I am having lots of fun with AND at the same time I can also be a bit disappointed knowing that the game isn't all I was hoping it would be (from listening to too much hype). I'm hoping CDPR fixes much of that and think that they will. Ultimately I don't believe it will be as good as I thought The Witcher 3 The Wild Hunt is, but I am still happy with my purchase.
They need to remember what got them to who they are today. what we all loved about witcher2/3 Long and deep story, lots of quests and that type stuff. I feel like with cyberpunk they thought about certain parts of the game too much and forgot to do what they did before. You hear them talk about in interviews how they are bad to estimate the game size and how long its gonna be etc etc but with cyberpunk they listened wrong people and ended up making at least the main story so short. If they just go with the gut and dont overthink about X or Y they might come back from this fiasco.
I don't know if it's the lack of interest in the genre, but I couldn't play Witcher 3 more than 4 hours before I was bored with it and promptly uninstalled it.
In CP2K77, I have over 500 hours in the game and I'm slowly losing interest in it as well, (500 hours in ANY game gets tedious for just about everyone).
great video, brother! my thoughts exactly. btw what mods are using to get so many enemies to attack u out in the street? (u had maelstrom, a mox and another cyberpsycho attacking u)
So, you reviewed a game on PC and people blame you for it not running on their consoles? ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I wont ever think you're a shill, actually you've been quite sincere and earnest about your opinions on everything. Alot of people since the launch of the game have been burned and have beening trying to put the blame on everyone or anyone..Ohh it's the gamer who put pressure to rush the game…the was anocunced years ago of course there was hype..ohh its the youtuber influiceners that didnt warn me about anything..no one could have know because only the ones that got retail versions for Best Buy Amazon had the game…and the hype was so big, anything negative being Said was being attacked by fanboys though some reveiws werent well thought out…the epolpsy situation has no excuse and was downright deplorable.. All of CDPR's Marketing didnt help at all but that's their Job but there was a huge disconnect between the devs and the rest of the company…they were promising the moon and would have crunched everyone to get there and then Covid happened, threw a wrench at a already messy devolpement…and all of the omisions, lies and hiding console game codes until launch…anyway the whole shitshow since December.. it has ALL, ALL been a learning experience for the game comunity and industry as a whole…about Games, companys, fans, marketing…maybe everyone wont be fooled again but who knows..
I rambled on too much but I like your vídeos and opinions, keep up the good work
Since I play on PS5, I’m giving my cc info to Sony and not CDPR and even on PC you can just use steam instead of gog for dlc and microtransactions to avoid that issue
You don´t go to assembly lines yelling at the workers that work there ??? madness.
Great vid, I also had a blast with Cyberpunk 2077 and in MY OPINION its the best game i've played and it easily surpassed my expectations.
I belive that the biggest problem and the reason for most of the disapointment was not high expectations but wrong expectations, before the release of the game i keept seeing people saying that Cyberpunk was gona be the next GTA 6 and other nonsense like that, and probably set their expectations to that type of game (witch was wrong), so when people started playing and realized that wasn't the case they got mad.
For me, after CDPR said that Cyberpunk was a adaptation and continuation of Mike Pondsmith's TTRPG Cyberpunk 2020, i tried to learn all i could about it, Lore, rpg mechanics, and more (your channel helpd alot), that way i was able to enjoy the game like CDPR wanted me to do it.
When it comes to flaws, the biggest i have is the npc beavior (not interraction, just beavior), and that was already a problem for me when playing the Witcher 3, i had finished playing Skyrim, a game that for me, has the best open world ever, so the world of the Witcher 3 didn't feel as good as i was hoping for.
For Cyberpunk CDPR improved alot, but still is not on the level where i could say that it rivals Skyrim.
I think you're right; CDPR can recover from this. It will depend on what they do. Cyberpunk 2077 is a game I am enjoying, despite not being exactly what I expected from the demos we were shown over the 18 months and more before its release (thankfully it is an RPG or I wouldn't be enjoying it as much as I am). There are still many things that need to be fixed in the game and I think it will take them several more patches and updates to bring the game to level it should have been at release. I also hope the gaming community will be less forgiving of marketing obfuscation and spin going forward; and not just from CDPR, it's something that all companies seem to get away with.
There isn't any reason to apologize LKM you haven't done something bad, anyone has the right to have an opinion and especially now anyone has his Freedom to speak. So however see you videos he can easily make his own opinion about any game and if he doubt about something he can easily again view other videos. The game as many others I believe who have played Witcher 3 it is not the same, a small example compare how many closed buildings are in Witcher 3 and in Cyberpunk. Yes they released it faster not ready especially for consoles but really because I never used consoles I personally haven't problem in my PC even I used the one with win7. Yes it could be better and we all hoped for another success story as Witcher 3 but I do believe that they will try to make it better how much we shall soon see.
Your review was probably the second review on all Internet that was very reasonable. I was also expecting a good game and not the second coming of Christ like many were. People forgot that CDPR is involved with so many other companies like WARNER… yet… people only focus on them. It's like Fallout 76 and Bethesda… nice video dude. Good energies from Brazil.
Shill away baby! Shill away! If finding enjoyment in a broken game makes you a shill I’ve been shilling for games for over 30 years. I’ve been playing for over 500 hours building 3 different characters on Cyberpunk enjoying the shit out of it on PC.
If you are a shill then honestly, you suck at it. Shill are supposed to love everything about the subject so….
You got me hooked for the whole video. When is it coming out? Thumbs up 👍
I think everyone just reacts quickly. Yes, CDPR shot too far and fell short, but it wasn't a total bomb. The potential is still there and they can fix it. The old gen consoles are the obstacle. I wish them luck. If they are successful and get this running to where it should be, release a decent free DLC and work on future DLCs worth buying, I do believe it will end up where they want it to be. Like you said, people can forgive.
I'm sure this is a humbling experience for them and they will learn from it. A learning experience for us too. I love the game and enjoy it on PC, but I do look forward to what's ahead.
… What is wrong with people?
CDPR does have a history of long tail support for thier games, it's up to them to uphold this history and re-earn our trust.
Here's hoping the next Elder scrolls faces the same degree of backlash when it releases as a buggy mess ,pfffft, who am I kidding…
I finally got that 100% achievements last night after 218hrs. I’ve have played all the endings and I think I’ve done every side mission with 3 characters and I love it. I know I take for granted I’m playing on the PC and have had no game breaking issues. Playing at Christmas and not launch helped. I’ve had just the occasional bug that I would call a slight nuisance at most.
I know CDPR dropped the ball big time with consoles and I feel bad for those people. But on the PC I’d happily be called a shill and recommend it to anybody who loves the Cyberpunk Genre. Can’t wait for the DLC.
6fucking years of hype for that shit , "welcome to the new generation of open world games"
“Shill” ?…. 😂🤦♂️ …. bro, LKM, much love man. You make great content and you’re a genuine dude. Humans….🤦♂️. My thing with the game is acknowledging reality in holding leader ship accountable for bad decisions that I don’t want to support or reinforce or give them any indication that justifies or excuses they’re bad decisions. For me the reality is that this RPG company that makes only RPG‘s in has made only RPG‘s for the past 20+ years and prides themselves on making RPG‘s and then informs us consumers of the intended RPG as well as revealing information in confirmation in the form of info drops throughout recent years or even the 48 minute demo, They broke those expectations and more importantly that pattern for the first time in 20+ years. They instead made a action adventure game. That could be fun, you know whatever. But they subtly and quietly relabeled the game in 2019 with this massive restructuring and refocusing and new direction and genres shift because they knew if they told consumers in a public way what they were doing , they would lose a lot of pre-orders and sales. The hype and expectations were too great and were intended for the RPG that day originally intended and that the developers were working on. But I think leader ship saw the reaction at e3 from Reeves on that stage by consumers and they decided that the better move was to go all in with focusing on him and his character. And this led to a complete restructuring and a pulling The rug out from under their own developers feet to accomplish this new design and Genre shift in only a year and a half time to also meet those holiday deadlines.
Marketing did a bad job of too much hyping as you have pointed out as well but the issue isn’t so much the hype as it is the manipulation and lying when it comes to what was clearly intended and expected… And then what was quietly decided behind our back‘s without informing us to produce this action adventure story about the main protagonist Johnny instead.
I just would have liked to have had a heads up publicly And officially during those night city wire episodes about what leader ship was doing. I wouldn’t have had near the issue with any of this if they had done that, if they had come out and said “ by the way guys, we the leader ship have decided that we are going to change direction and focus for our cyber punk project and because of this we are now making a action adventure story which we hope you all enjoy as much as what we had originally intended with the RPG. But we just want to give you a heads up of this genre change as Much of the content and expectations that you have rightfully had over these past many years will now not be met because we think this is the better direction to go in for our project”
But they didn’t want to be upfront about that. So much of the decision making for this project over it’s entirety, you can so clearly see corporate leader ship with business minded decisions being made on the creative process for the project and being enforced on the creative developers in touch with the project. The development staff Hass to be managed but at the end of the day the ones working on the project who care about the project and want what is best for the project should be the ones deciding and making decisions for the project. Corporate leader ship is completely out of touch and are making decisions based off of graphical charts in a conference room that affect money revenue. It’s two different entities. And for me personally this is clearly evident with this project and how it all turned out.
I do not hate the game, I think it is a fine action adventure game. I don’t really give a crap about the bugs and glitches, there is an overwhelming amount of them but that is barely touching the surface of the issues that really hinder the project. Just look at The lack of a AI system for example. But I digress. I enjoyed for the most part my one play through of this story. I don’t see much point in playing the story again as it’s the same story with arguably the same outcomes and you can choose a handful of different Johnny endings but you’re still overall just going through the same motions repeatedly. But it was a fine story. It’s the manipulation and lying that angers me the most and disappoints me the most.
I think consumers who do enjoy the game can continue to enjoy the game and should enjoy the game, everybody likes what they like that’s not a problem or an issue. But I think consumers should also be critical about this project and it’s process and the decisions that were made. I think we can all agree that a lot of bad decisions were made whether you enjoy the Game right now or not, and we should hold leader ship accountable to that. The last thing you want to do in my opinion is present only positive feedback or ignorance to allow leader ship to use to help reinforce or support their bad decisions. You could already see with corporate so-called apology how they ignore the main issues and then look to their sales numbers and selective feedback to justify or excuse the decisions that they made. I don’t want them to be able to do that. This RPG company‘s decision by leader ship to make a action adventure story in the last year and a half development was a bad decision. I think the game is fine, and for those who really enjoy it it’s probably great. And there is an absolutely nothing wrong with that. I am glad people are having a amazing and awesome time with this game. I just think at the same time we can acknowledge in a critical way the bad decisions that were made along this process with this project and give that feedback to leader ship. Because if we don’t hold them accountable on this, this will happen again and again and again. You you see it all throughout the industry right now unfortunately with many different kinds of projects. Enjoy what you enjoy, but also hold those accountable that need to be held accountable. Reinforce good decisions, not bad ones.
In any case sorry for the long rant there brother. Just wanted to let you know that you are absolutely in no way a freaking shill , and of course you know this but people will be idiots. Apologies for that. I’m sure you’re laughing it off anyway… For the most part😉
Just also wanted to share my thoughts on all this as well. Keep up the good work brother👊
Also I agree with ur points here as well
YouTubers needs to start being really genuine with their own viewers and subscribers in regards to talking about video games.
Hahahaha, the tongue-in-cheek sarcasm had me ROFL. Most of the other big companies are so scummy. CDPR made a great game with great stories (base PS4 player w/ ext ssd) – they ran out of money or something and devs didn’t get to finish the game, or wait until “when it’s ready.” Good points about expanding too fast and losing touch with their own devs. Look at NMSky, turned around pretty well eventually and they were scummier at launch; it can be turned around. I hope CDPR puts that much effort into Cyberpunk 2077, I hope they also finish/ fix things like the cop ai – magically spawning in 🙄 I’m cautiously optimistic as well for the future of this company. I see what you did there ‘No Future’ – I think I’ve seen that somewhere 🤔 lol. Sometimes the facts are inconvenient to ‘net trolls. Appreciate your content. Still chuckling over this vid….
Your are definitely a very honest, objective and good person. Feel free to call me LKM shill.
Haven't played cp2077 since it crashed, trying to get the devil ending, this was after the patch where crashes were improved…
I do like the game….but it feels like the game doesn't have the attention to detail like Witcher 3 had – whereby your actions effected future quests or side missions. hell!, even NPC conversations!(xletalis anyone?) – it just feels like what ever mission you do, it doesn't feel like you have much or any major knock on effect.
Regardless of what I or anyone thinks, CDPR will survive…. HELL, Bioware have released constant questionable games since Mass effect 3, yet…people are shilling for them since they announced ME: censored edition – we live in an age of amnesia.
"This is LKS signing out. Bye bye."
The vast majority of us believe that you have honesty and integrity at heart. Don't stress on the haters.
Ok they have a lot of bugs and it was unplayable in consoles but what about the missing features and cut content? that was what disappointed me the most. Not the game I was expecting.
Lets not forget CDPR did lie in order to pump up preorders. That's worse than loot boxes which you can just ignore.
As much I enjoy the stories in this game, the gameplay and sheer lack of attention to detail across the board is incredibly disappointing.
Jeezuz are we starting some drama here!
I think the key statement here was (I kept hype level normal). Imo CDPR has a shot to turn this game around. This is not my field of expertise but it looks like most of the assets are there; add in the obviously unfinished content, put out those fixes the community complains about, and after that roll out the updates, dlcs, and expansions and we'll be golden. They won't please everyone though, some people had their pitchforks and torches ready long before now.
I'm still playing CP77 amidst all of the bugs. It's fun for me and I'm looking forward to the DLC and the multiplayer in the future.
My hype level was in the negatives. Like -2077
Awsome Last Known Meal. Couldn't agree more with your review of the situation.
And I reinforce the notion you put forth about this being a critical moment for the company. And I do believe that "present moment awareness"should be applied to the small things. For example in the apology video the lead director shouldn't speak small broken promisses: we will keep updated on the next patches and patch notes will come out before the updates. When the hack happened they did very well on exposing it right away and not give in to them, publickly denouncing it all. I am however surprised at the lack of comunication about the next patch. I don't mean I don't understand the company doesn't wan't to release parch notes 2 days before on the fear something happens on those 2 days, misinterpretations,… But I see it more as The Director came online and presented the future actions of the company. It's something that was discussed and made sense to apply. Then don't allow that to happen, when the time comes, to make the video a lie, or false promisse. Say patch notes subject to change, then if something happens delay the patch to solve the new problems and tell us that. If there will be a delay on patch 1.2. because of the hack, that's understandable. But tell us that, please.
Sorry I focus on the consumer communication because it's an area where for me, the company messed up a lot on latelly.
As good a name as "last known shill" is i dont think anything will ever beat unkle adams calling anthiny fantano "the needledick"
PD: really love your content man, dont listen to assholes, your lore content in particular really really improved my experience of the game, love ya.
I've played 2077 everyday since launch and I haven't done that with a game in YEARS.
Mike Pondsmith created a stylish, gritty cyberpunk universe that has sooooo much potential for games, movies, anime, you name it.
I'm currently hoping against hope that Cyberpunk 2077 will be saved by DLCs and mods. Judging by what happened with TW3, I doubt CDPR will fix the terribad UI, itemization, economy, etc. They might fix some perks, but only the egregiously horrible ones, like dagger dealer. For those things, I'm putting all my hopes in the modding community.
And yes, I bought the game on PS4 Pro but was expecting to play it on the PS5 I'd pre-ordered in September, the PS5 which arrived today, 3 months and 4 days after its release! 🤦🏻♂️
As for mods, yes, I will, eventually, buy the ultimate edition with all DLCs on PC. Right now, I just want Cyberpunk 2077 to not damage the Cyberpunk IP. That's all.
I had a dream where I played a game that seems like a cross between elder scrolls online GTA online and cyberpunk……
It had the beauty of elder scrolls online, the options and HUD from GTA online, but it was cyberpunk.
For a second after I woke up I thought there really was a game like that….
It was a really cool dream,
Too bad I’m too broke to make it come true.
I really hope CD project red cares enough to make something like that happen.
Damn LKM you drive good in this game lol
LKM I like that you have a backbone. I was a bit skeptical of the small group of reviews about Cyberpunk 2077 after the launch and after my honeymoon phase after playing the game. But I never really thought any single one of you reviewers were lying about the game. I respect that you are bringing this issue up. Nothing but respect for you man. You're one of the few online personalities that I take seriously and think who is cool.
As for me. I LOVE the game. I love it so much I wish it will get its improvements. There is a lot to love about the game even though it isn't perfect, and quite frankly I'm a bit over some of the things we keep complaining about. But thats just the type of person I am. I put the past in the past and look forward.
Maybe some others might be the same. Others will continue to reflect on the past and stay there.
Well here is looking forward to a better future for Cybeprunk 2077!!!
Video starts at 6:57
Don't worry mate 🙂 drink vodka with us 😀 Cheers from PL
The bugs didn’t bother me it’s the missing content. After the mission with dexter deshawn my choice didn’t mean anything, the side jobs or missions are the worse thing I’ve played it’s boring same stuff they said it was going to improve on side missions making them bigger than Witcher 3’s that strike one! There is no bounty hunters that come for you or even being able to befriend gangs that’s strike 2! The AI is not the best to date in any open world game like they said at E3 2018 that’s strike 3, and the way it ran on base consoles was so bad! Like very very unprofessional. They deserve the backlash I’m afraid because of the lies! They need to no man’s sky the shit out of this game period! Got refund, should of waited like I did with the Witcher 3 but because that game was so good I pre ordered off that impression they left me with that alone. Never again!
Seriously, F the people calling you a shill. Every last one of them can take a long hike off a short bridge.
