  1. Funny how they worry about Thompson's tape getting stolen. They obv. record it to release it. There's surveillance all around the corporate tower. What about camera implants on the guards?
They were probably stoned when they did the planning.
I think the sequence also shows how "rushed" much of the game was. All the stuff about the blackwall, the AIs, soulkiller, Mikoshi and Alt basically comes out of the blue storywise.

  2. The designers gave every kind of player a reason to want the Voodoo Boys dead.

Roleplayers: They killed Evelyn, betray you twice over, are murderously xenophobic and want to betray humanity to work with AIs. They deserve to die!
    Non-roleplayers: Damn, that's a nice coat.

  3. 22:13 Nice bit of continuity you finished the questline with Panam so Johnny mentions the Aldecado clan as potential help for getting into Mikoshi. When I played this quest I didnt finish the Panam storyline yet so never heard this line.

  4. Glad to see you didn't get the Archangel bug. Sometimes that guitar riff loop that plays on the dynamic soundtrack doesn't stop after you exit the combat state, and continues playing… Over Alt's death, over the Johnny and voodoo boys interactions in the Net, over the Alt meeting, over the escape, over the realspace Johnny interaction… It didn't stop until you reloaded a save. Wonder if it's fixed properly in 1.2 or not.

The health bug sometimes happens when you come out of a section like the Net. It requires a save and reload to display properly.

  5. My dialogues were quite different with ALT and Johnny interaction, she din't hate him or blame him, she doesn't completely 100% trust him, but she showed empathy towards him, their interaction was more friendly, and she wanted to help V and Johnny to destroy mikoshi by her own choice, she was not like "what does this have to do with me?" She was more friendly with both V and Johnny

  6. Aside from Johnny's complete asshole persona I did came to respect and even appreciate his company somewhat, as I feel he's genuinely trying to connect with V on occasion. Giving her some well-needed persective at times.

Suprisingly, apart from right after the heist job he has yet to try and take over V (that's what Misty's pills meant to delay). The relic is the source of the glitches and coughing up blood, while the smoking is a gradual result of the biochip overwriting V's behaviour with Johnny's.

The way the devs utilized the popular trope of an individual slowly turning into something else entirely is pretty well done imo.

  7. Noticed that when you spoke to Johnny after Hellman and it happened here again, the spot where the conversation took place was different in my game, for Hellman Johnny and V were sitting at a table like here, and for this part we were sitting on the stairs next to the chapel. The dialogues were not all the same either, kind of curious about what it means or how the changes are triggered :s
ps: when you see something buggy/weird like your healthbar at 0 here, you should do a quicksave and reload. You weren't supposed to one shot Placide and it should have been a boss fight instead, got a feeling the healthbar bug was somehow related to the boss fight not happening.
