We think we’ve found what causes the no quickhacks bug in Cyberpunk 2077. It’s from a mission called “the gift” that gives you a ping quickhack. If this quickhack goes into your inventory you won’t be able to get quickhacks from breaching access points for the rest of your playthrough.

As of right now the only way to fix the Cyberpunk 2077 no quickhacks bug is to make a new game. We have not found any way to fix this issue unfortunately. If you’ve found a way to get rid of this bug, please share in the comments below.

  1. Just tested it. I'm Lv 9, completed the Ping mission, and have 2 perk points down for Datamine Virtuoso. Some access points give me a quickhack right away, some took me multiple tries (all 3 datamines successfully hacked). Not sure if glitched by this mission particularly, but here's what I have observed. Good luck everyone!

  2. The weird this is that I've received at least 1 uncommon or rare quickhack from a terminal before I got the Datamine Virtuoso perk, but haven't seen one since then. I even reloaded over a dozen times at an Intelligence 10 terminal right after getting the perk and still got nothing😓Oh, I just tried the fix that Elopii details in comment #37 on https://forums.cdprojektred.com/index.php?threads/not-getting-quickhacks-from-access-points.11061788/page-2 where you unequip the bugged Ping quickhack (which has an exclamation mark on it), buy a green ping from a shop, upgrade it to a blue ping, which does make the bugged one disappear from my inventory. I'm not sure if this has actually worked because I haven't sat there and reloaded dozens of times since trying the fix, but I also haven't gotten any quickhacks from terminals during regular gameplay either.

If that doesn't work I think I'm going to go with the workaround that is in comment #35 because I really did plan out my character and this bug is going to pretty much break it for me.

  3. Hey man can you please get a video out on how to fix this bug or what if anyone is trying to do for getting ping to be cleared somehow after mission is done. I mean literally everyone does this quest and for those with tons of hours invested in toon, its crazy to just delete and restart the game.

  4. This is wrong since I got that in early game and I am still getting Quickhacks from Access Points. They don't show duplicates of the ones you already have when trying to slot them. They only show in the backpack or sell menu.

  5. This isn’t entirely true. The Gift quickhack is obviously a bug for most people — but as per a few different posts on the CDPR forums, people are still not getting legendary quickhacks from terminals with the Gift mission not even started! Me included! So the bug goes much deeper than just this mission and ‘Ping’ quickhack unfortunately.

  6. Don't know, I did the mission on my 1st playthrough and on my 2nd too, I'm getting quickhacks. At least I'm assuming that I'm getting them, since I only crafted green ones and have a couple of blue and purple ones by now. Think the issue is with something else, or something else also plays a role in it.

  7. I just tried the factory in northern end of Japantown, and I managed to get quickhacks from both terminals despite having done "The gift". I can see all my quickhacks in inventory, but they ALSO come up as selectable in my cyberdeck.
    Level: 29 (thus "only" epic)
Game version: v1.06, and playthrough was started at v1.06.
I'm gonna farm some levels now, then see if it still works once I'm high enough to get legendary.
Edit: platform is PC / GoG if that wasn't obvious from the fact I'm running the old version 😉

  8. From my own research and viewing community testing it has seemed to me that Virtuoso is causing more of a problem than the free ping(s). Seems once you drop the second point into Virtuoso, rather than doubling your chance at quickhacks it effectively renders the droprate to 0. Still may be more going on with it, but it seems more common than the free pings.

  9. I have 12 quickhacks, no legendary, and I dont know how I got them. After I put the points in increasing the drop rate I couldn't get any more. I got the perk 35h into my run. I think I will accept this bug, finish the story an wait for some more fixes until I try again, hopefully all the missions work then in my second run

  10. I have gotten legendary quickhacks in lots of recent playthroughs (after all patches) and it seems to be varied and without a particular system of hacking terminals being truly effective (although it does seem that lower level characters get more). Of course the higher level terminals (lvl 10 and above) will get higher quickhacks and more. I always buy all the green (uncommon) ones from the netrunner in "the gift" first and you cant tell if you got more because they dont tell you, you got a new one of the ones you already have. Then you can buy rare (blue) ones after the relic heist mission at netrunner stores. I buy them as soon as I finish the relic mission. Then with about level 12 in intelligence I hack the terminals at the city center and get legendarys but…even with re rolling saves I seldom get the ones I want but I still get 4 or 5 legendarys there at a base lvl of 15 or slightly higher, (lvl 12 in intelligence). After that I try to get epic ones of the ones I want and before long I acquire more and more and even get legendarys occasionally. I never have gotten the Bartmoss lvl 20 crafting perk and have never crafted quickhacks. Its too easy using a tetronic rippler and legendary quickhacks to obliterate everyone anyway, so i use system reset on anyone who is too tough to kill (like cyberpsychos, etc.). That and a projectile launcher with tranq rounds is so OP. Just always hack all terminals and you will get lots of $$$ and quickhacks and components.

  11. This is what i found so far. I sold the epic ping to a ripperdoc and had him install my original cyberdeck the militech paraline. The ping with the mission tag showed up to install. The mission tag is gone now. But i see no mission in my list called the gift anywhere. Hope that helps somebody figure out the rest😂 still looking for a terminal i havnt looted

  12. From reading some of the comments here, I think it's related to the quest tag on the quickhack you get from the quest somehow blocking receiving them from access points as rewards. Going to investigate the claim that you need to have an empty slot in your OS when you buy it OR that you have to install it in the original OS you start with to clear that flag. No idea if this will allow for getting rewards afterwards. I do have a FUBARED game I can test that theory on.

  13. I have this bug. I've completed The Gift. In 1.2 I tried Tabula Rasa (which costs only 25k!) and put no perks into INT skills, then tested hacking INT9 Access Points (with plenty of reloads) and got zero Legendary Quickhacks. I read one thread that speculated that having certain perks contributed to this bug, but removing the perks does not seem to fix anything. I also tried buying and loading the Epic version of Ping, instead of using the Rare one from The Gift. Nothing. I can probably try this again at INT10, but based on other information I've seen INT9 should definitely work.
