My first playthrough of cyberpunk I did the mikoshi ending. Those twenty minutes with Arasaka recontexualise the entire game. I paced my room wondering what cyberpunk was really about. Main thing I saw coming up again and again was the question "Who really is V?" This game is, imo, about morality, mortality, and the idea of self.
This is a complete cop out. CDPR dropped the ball on it as an RPG and everyone huffing copium are praising how the choices you make don't do anything. I enjoy cyberpunk but not going act like CDPRs' failures are accomplishments.
Ummm this is just wrong… cyberpunk is the type of game where if you pick the wrong choice you may not feel the consequences till like 8 hours later… its the kind of game where choices will fuck you out of endings or outcomes you wanted but by the time you feel that consequence its too late to go back , ive fucked up entire playthroughs like 30 hours back , didnt know it and ruined the ending…
Idk what game this dude played but this is bad info
Your choices barely affect the main story in most games. I know CDPR lied about how much of an RPG this game would be, but what we got was still better than most games.
the story branches quite a bit more than people gave it credit for, theres a ton of endings. The missions themselves don't change much and this is what got everyone complaining on release.
I just wish the side quests would have consequences besides determining how much money you can earn at the end of the game

What a brilliant way of saying yes your choices don't matter but I still enjoyed it and defend it
