“Chippin’ In” by SAMURAI from Cyberpunk 2077 was written and arranged by Refused in collaboration with CD Projekt Red.

What if CD Project Red didn’t hire Refused to be Johnny Silverhand’s band in Cyberpunk 2077 but instead hired only Mick Gordon, the guy known for the Doom reboot? Well now there’s an answer because, I Geoffrey Day, have constructed something very interesting.

Have ideas of tracks you’d like me to remix or cover? Let me know!

  1. That's so weird haha!
I actually got this video in my recommended and clicked through it randomly when I saw 'Corpseweed' recording vocals for this. I literally mixed and mastered his EP 'ETHEREAL' not so long ago!
The world is so small haha! Hi Mark!

  2. This is a great experiment. I think you and Mr. Weed nailed the feel of passing vocals through a Gordon machine. No shame for the shameless rip of the title track either, reprising and re-contextualizing it was impactful.

  3. I have to say thx for making these Mick Gordon inspired videos, they really inspire me to do music production, whenever i watch them. The final product sounded dope af, as did your last few songs. And your commentary and editing is very entertaning, so really nice job with that as well. I'd love to see a track from DOOM 2016 or Eternal, done in the style of Cyberpunk 2077 or Ghostrunner, just throwing that out there. Keep up the good work m8!

  4. I have 2 problem with this vid:
1- I don't want you to become the "mick gordon – metal" cloner guy, since your aspiration is not that 😀
2- Mick Gordon has 99999 million styles not just metal.

  5. I think it would be really cool if you did gwyn's them from dark souls or soul of cinder and mixed it with the doom soundtrack. I'd believe it's be really hard since doom and darksouls soundtrack is so different

  6. First, I think I'll dive into your work a lot more, so far I'm loving it.

Like a self entitled asshole I'll offer some ideas that I really, really hope I'll get to hear one day DooMified:
    – Quake II – Descent into Cerberon (I know Mick himself played this at the Game Awards 2016, but it was basically unchanged, not DooMified)
    – Half-Life 2: LG Orbifold, CP Violation, Vortal Combat, Sector Sweep
    – Prince of Persia Warrior Within: basically any of the combat tracks
