Imagine if Jackie hasn't pulled out the chip out of his head right before dying and it would have prevented him from dying like it did for V. I can't imagine the interactions between Jackie and Johnny, they are like polar opposites. It would have been hilarious but cringeworthy at the same time
My ex-girlfriend reached out to me the day she committed suicide. I was such a dumb kid. I didn't see what she was trying to say, I didn't see that she held me in high regard enough to save her. I couldn't see past myself and just scolded her.. I was an idiot. I don't know how long it's been but every now and then I'll log into Myspace send your messages. Sometimes I'll send pictures. Iv sent my first car, the day I got married.. pictures of house I bought.. and days where I want to give penance.. 15 years of messages.
This is actually available right after the heist, I like to call him after the funeral and then after a couple of the main missions when you have a relic malfunction, It's nice to hear this vulnerable side of V who just misses their best friend.
I think people overlooked the lore. Secure your soul isn't keeping people alive. It's an AI that takes information of you and your memories. It imitates whoever is written to its program. The difference with Johnny and Alt is that they traded bodies with a virtual one. There's no AI tricking you into thinking you're talking to them. The program written for Jackie has limited information which is why it's bugging out. It's not actually Jackie but the fucked up program the Araska corp uses to sell you false hope.
The Relic is different. It is literally a vessel for your body. That's why Saburo needed it. He was dying and needed to swap bodies.
I just realized. These are not things that Jackie said, these are things V heard. Jackie is not in Mikoshi, they just pieced whatever memory V had of him into a hologram.
Someone said before that Jackie is actually dead and their using a AI to respond by using Jackie’s memories to respond appropriately. Which is why he’s repeating everything he said.
You get the dialogues from 4:42 to 9:54 regardless of calling Jackie. You only need to send Jackie's body to Vic or leave it in the car and make a deal with Arasaka.
i called him once every while after completing a life-altering/emotional mission (especially after happy together) now i’m halfway the main story and suddenly i can’t reach the automated secretary anymore 🙁 i had 2 more voicelines left so i searched it on yt instead. i always visit his ofrenda and his site on the columbarium afterwards too
V is talking to a mindless simulation of Jackie. He really did die after the heist. Johnny is also a sim. No soul there either. Arasaka's son was turned into a mindless zombie to host his father's memories but there is no consciousness there either. The moral of the story is that the soul cannot be transferred to another body nor can it be stored on a chip.
We meet jack at the beginning of the game then we see them having the time of their life's and we not controlling V after that we do 4 or so missions with jack then he dies and has a funeral if you send him to his mother, and the we don't hear about thim till endgame.
As a result we of this poor decision by the devs we feel zero emotional attachment to Jackie he comes by as just another random NPC that teach us the basics and them we never hear from him again such a waste of potential.
0:00 Call Jackie
4:42 Seeing Jackie in Nightmare
5:15 Johnny Talking About Jackie Inside Mikoshie
5:59 Meets Jackie's Hologram
8:11 Meets Jackie Inside Mikoshi
i'm not crying, you are
The mention of Dexter makes me think he's inside mikoshi as well
It’s criminal how little time we got to spend with Jackie
That "If you…" at 3:16…
😢
You can call him at any point after act two I think
Nope you can do this any time after you finish the hiest

Greatest what if….. What if the chip didn't get damaged/ betrayed

IM NOT CRYIN' YOU ARE!
Rebecca's revenge is making me re-install CP2077 but this last scene is stopping me doing it…
Honestly the male voice captures more of the emotion than the female voice.
And that's why you always send him to his family.
Damn the feels it’s how I felt reading the last text I sent my grandma Rip love ya Grams
It’s unavailable cause he’s dead😢
XD

Is everything in this game incredibly sad story wise? JFC lol

How did you get this to work, tried calling him but it just straight never let me. Even on the same mission.
That’s horrible. Obviously an after thought if they just keep using previously recorded dialog. Doesn’t seem worth it to unlock that.
Someone said before that Jackie is actually dead and their using a AI to respond by using Jackie’s memories to respond appropriately. Which is why he’s repeating everything he said.
I had no idea this was possible. The closure the story needed all along.
I love fem Vs voice so much but make V isn't too bad sure it's a little monotone and disconnected, but it's kinda a neat different way to play as v
I'm not crying, you're crying…

What does his line about Misty mean? That one always confused me.
Damn honestly I though he was going to betray me and then to find out he dies trying to save you the end
That's not secret
Jackie… i miss him. We miss him
No on five a fuck of panam. The tank rock!!!!

I have to replay this just for that mission with Jackie I need to be with him again
in a dimly lit hallway, a dark figure sits in a chair before yourself. You place you hand on his shoulder…
"HEY!, READY TO GET YOUR CHERRY POPPED?!"

I feel like Jackie was a missed opportunity.

4:50 i’m sorry but i laughed 😂 his yell is so goofy, plus his eyes are closed
5:15 i love johnny, could never tell him that
5:44 damn nvm i’m crying again
6:33– 9:54 nah this ain’t my jack 💔😭
😭
You can actually call him right after he dies.
