  1. I have a feeling those questions Lisa Smith referenced are like the Voight-Kampff test questions in Blade Runner used to tell human from replicant. It's possible they were using those questions to see if an AI had invaded and overwritten the consciousness of the original person, like Mr. Blue Eyes. AIs would have trouble answering those questions as they are made specifically to test for the odd reactions only a human would make at such nonsensical propositions.

  2. Hmm, maybe this is just me. But, I think the job being offered by the NUSA would restore him to full strength. They want a new Morgan backhand. But one they can control, so they offer V the job and maybe down the line once they're sure he's become a loyal man. They offer him a way to be a solo again.

  3. Two things: Relic is extremely valuable to corps (like you said) and they already have likely tortured or 'reimagined' Songbird into some Anti-AI super power or whatever, since they now don't give Reed the clearance to know. Plus, Myers demonstrates no remorse in utilizing Songbird like they have. Its a HIGH chance that they, if not made some sleeper agent in V, TOOK his personality through the Neural Matrix/Soulkiller/Relic and are now hoping to use 'him' as an operative for NUSA, which could even be to help fight rogue AI maybe if you are a netrunner.

Myers literally sees you gun down hordes of Barghest + A FUCKING SPIDER TANK, without barely blinking an eye. She probably noticed, just saying. Also, they probably took the 'original' V's implants away to keep from making anymore trouble or interacting with his doubles.

  4. The fact that V has no memories of the two years doesn't prove that they were in a coma. For all they know, they could have been cured by the NUSA, sent back out into the field to do all manner of shenanigans, and then had their brain wiped for security reasons. Similar to how Bucky was an agent during the Winter Soldier, kept on ice for years until he was needed, his memories erased each time.

  5. heres my theory hear me out…with all the endings available how do you choose which ones cannon? i think that V is in a simulation either from an AI or a party or corp…V is still being made or shaped thru different paths…maybe he is a tamed AI who is still learning or is being shaped as a human hybrid and is being set for orion then maybe get the multiplayer game where everyone is V because they are all copy of V…kind of a westworld show situation

  6. The glaring issue with this theory is one simple question… Why would they just let V go? Even if he's depowered, it's still really dumb to let an asset like that back in to the world simply because he's seen way too many things to not be considered a liability. Why not just kill him if he's no longer useful?

  7. Interesting stuff but still, whatever happened to V during the coma, that's not the point of the tower ending. The point imo is finding peace with whatever else is left of ur life after everything that happens to u, be it the consiquences of the actions u took that lead u here or just blaming it on bad fortune. Coming to terms with it and trying to move on, accepting ur situation and making a new life
Just like what Vic did. You can blame him for selling out sure he did. But what would u do in that situation? Not everyone wants or can go out in a blaze of glory. Sometimes the quiet life is just what one really desires in the end

  8. I personally don't like the new ending, V survives yes but she/he loses her/his friends, it's too sad and I can't handle it. I prefer to send Somi to the moon to save her and either leave with the Aldecaldos (I hate nc) or use the gun on the roof..

I hoped my V could stay with her/his partner.

  9. Almost all of this theory relies on their the NUSA being wildly incompetent, or an overinflated amount of speculation around how important V is.
    >The assumption that the information V has on the NUSA is "time sensitive" has no backing. To my knowledge, we dont see any information saying that the NUSA suddenly is given worldwide permission to tap into the blackwall. If there was even a MINIMAL ammount of a hint that V could prove his connection to the NUSA, he could still release information about them breaking national laws, making the NUSA a massive target for the entire world.
    >The idea that V could in any world become a weapon like songbird is also massive speculation. We see that she was already a skilled and well known netrunner far before her work with the NUSA and blackwall. The entire idea that V could ever rise to a similar position would need to be prefaced on the assumption that the "cannon V" would have been a netrunner of very high skill. Assuming that "The A.I. can do it" all is peek deus ex machina for whatever wild theories people want to throw out.
    >The idea that militech would need V because "he used the relic" is again puffed up importance placed on V. This is one of the world largest military forces that have access to vast amounts of trained personnel and funds. In any reasonable world its easy to speculate that Militech and the NUSA would easily find someone more useful and suited to relic related testing then V.
    >After setting aside that V has no realistic use for the NUSA or Militech, and is in no way confirmed to not be of any threat to the NUSA with the information he still has, it would be both far simpler and easier to just kill off V if they had any intention other then simply curing him, and letting him go. The small inconsistencies you point out feel far more like bad writing on a rushed new ending then anything pointing twords a greater plot behind the scenes. This kind of theory sounds more like something id hear from Alex jones then a believable theory.

  10. Too complicated. First and foremost – V is just a random dude from the street, not a Morgan Blackhand league. It was clearly seen during his first encounter with Reed and Reed refering to him as second-grade merc. Why would NUSA need someone like V as their "Winter soldier"?
Secondly, why Reeds description differs from Viktors. Simply because Viktor is a doktor, who spend his entire life working with implants while Reeds job was to talk to someone, who wakes from 2-year long coma, and to tell a complicated thing in simple words.
Thirdly, V has nothing to be interesting for NUSA. They can't experiment with relic, because removing it will destroy it, and keeping it in V's head will lead to Johnny taking over the body. Even for scientists from Arasaka V's case is terra incognita, The Devil ending shows their peak performance. It is just impossible for NUSA with zero knowledge about the relic to conduct experiments in such circumstances. Cynosure is an abandoned project, for NUSA it is nothing more than an artifact from the long-gone era. If they still were experimenting with rogue AI's Songbird wouldn't have been of such high value, meaning she is likely one of her kind who can actually control the blackwall.

  11. The theory is good, but we are forgetting a quite important fact which pretty much demolishes the whole theory. Remember that alt explain to us that she didnt consider the "body factor" when using the soulkiller to separate V from Johnny, since the relic was not only rewritting V's consciousness, but also rewritting his/her DNA to match Johnny's, which is why V isn't able to live more than 6 months if he/she decides to stay in his/her body. So we could simply assume that the neural matrix was able to "rewrite" only essential parts of V's DNA to be able to survive, and isolated/disabled parts that were already too compromised to go back safely. Or simply could be a miss-input command for the neural matrix, remember that the NM is an AI, so if the medics literally wrote "save this person's life" and didnt went fully specific, the AI could simply do the job half way through it and delta like an absolute unit of trolling

  12. Just for clarification's sake, you can still get the Tower ending if you side with Songbird. Instead of sending her to the moon you have the choice of handing her off to Reed after she admits the Neural Matrix can only cure one of them and that she played you all that time.

  13. Looks a bit of a stretch to me. Like, why leave V alive at all then, given how much he knows of the dirty secrets of the NUSA and Myers personally. Although that can't be ruled out either.

Either way, I wouldn't trust Myers and her loyal dog Reed. If there is any benefit (and there obviously is) for them to deceive or clean up their act, they will do it without hesitation. And V will simply become a bargaining chip, a spent asset.

That's why I, even when I found out about Somi's deception (even though I foresaw it), didn't give her to Reed in exchange for the promise to heal V. Simply because I didn't believe him. What would have stopped him from just flatlining V after that, just like the twins? That would have been an obvious decision on his part and quite in the spirit of his character. All ends in the water, leave no trace. So I can at least save Sombird. Actually, the fact that Myers ends up keeping her promise just seems like a scripted move to me – kind of so that the choice of side isn't so obvious.

Neither corps nor government are ur chooms.

  14. The bottom line is, cyberpunk genre is bleak and bittersweet. There are no happy endings where everyone gets what they want.
I felt bad that Johnny had to be wiped at the end of the Tower ending, but he had a good relationship with V. Then I felt worse when V was basically stripped of everything she had and had to find herself again. The Tower is equivalent to the Devil ending to me. Now I choose Don’t Fear the Reaper every time. V can go out on their own terms by themselves, and they aren’t stripped of everything. And they still have a chance to save themselves.

  15. The coma wakeup explanation was dodgy at best.
I personally think they had to leave the chip in Vs head and just deactivated the process using the matrix.
It's established lore that the chip took over a lot of Vs vital processes and it's established that removing it would instantly kill V. my guess iti's still in there but deactivated for the most part.

The whole situation is dodgy, because standard implants still work, while only combat implants don't communicate with Vs brain? Next thing is that according to Vic, there is no communication at all – if it was a bad one that would easily fry Vs brain by overpowering it, it would be something different but no communication at all is dodgy.

There is something up with it.

  16. @LayedbackGamers.I feel that militech uses Relic to create a consciousness of v and puts it into a clone body will the real V is hidden out the way hidden by millitec, meaning will millitec to study the Relic it's effect on someone's psyche and body

  17. Idk about y'all chooms, but the only person i trust and allow to cut me open and not fry my synapses is Vik. Choom since day one has never lied to me, never withheld any information from me, tells me to put matters in my own hands if I'm gonna party in saka tower with Johnny like it's 2023.

Even when i enter the Major leagues after all is said and done Vik still checks in on you and asks you to drop by when you have time to see if your major league ripper has done anything gonk with you ..

Everybody in NUSA, Myers, Reed, Songbird (maybe 'cept Alex) has either not told you the full story or has outright lied to you at one point or another, And now I'm supposed to trust them after everything that's transpired in Dogtown?

I guess I'm good, if Vik says a couple weeks at most, guess I'll just grab the hottest iron and storm saka tower, jack my ass into Mikoshi and we'll see how it goes, at least my life's on my terms.

  18. You mention this helping YOU through rough times? Bro, it's weird how much reprieve from stress I get from diving my mind into this world and you helping us make sense of it. Literally just the other day I finished Phantom Liberty and have been binging your videos, actually personally noticed the discrepancy between what Viktor and Reed said was the issue. That had me standing up. Thanks for your videos cuz.
