  1. I've yet to see a single time when you don't choose an option and wait it out. Just a reminder that's also something you can do. More dialogue or even interesting actions might come from that.

  2. Netrunning/hacking is very much akin to playing a mage in most fantasy style RPG's. It starts off a little weaker than other modes of combat. But by mid game when you've upgraded your deck and/or have slotted legendary quickhacks the damage it can do goes positively nuclear. By end game you can wipe out whole buildings of enemies without even needing to enter a building or get off your bike.

With regards to Johnny striking you. Obviously he's not physical so he's not actually touching you, but if his construct stimulates the pain receptors in the affected point of contact in your body it won't matter if he's physical or not. You'll feel the pain of the hit and it'll feel plenty real at that point.

  3. Yorinobu commanded Dex to get your body before getting rid of him. So his plans began before Dex, and he definitely wanted V. I presumed he extracted information from Dex beforehand. And Dex led to you, probably noting it was a heist, not an assassination, at the least. Maybe more importantly he was Saburo's bodyguard (and present during the heist). With the unknown passage of time I'd assume he was quite busy doing his former job while V's in a scrap heap.

  4. Takemura had strong doubts about Yorinobu's story from the beginning- you can see that from the cutscene at Konpeki Plaza. When Arasaka assassins tried to kill you both, and Yorinobu was the only one Takemura told that he had found you and was bringing you back to the city, those doubts were confirmed.

  5. Also, and this is important. While main quest objective of "meet with someone" can be put off easily while you do side content, i highly recommend you do "call someone" objectives as soon as you get them. Doesn't cost anything and there is a benefit to doing so.

  6. Takemura wasn't convinced of the story that Yorinobu told about his father getting poisoned. Couple it with him getting suddenly exiled and hunted by Arasaka and the fact he had many days for investigations while V was recovering and it isn't so weird, that he comes to the conclusion that it was patricide.

  7. Seeing how in one scene it showed that V's and Johnny's movements were paralleled, I'd say he's hitting you with your own hand. You know, the good ol' stop hitting yourself.
As for Takemura, I think he figured it out when Arasaka's killers went after him. He had his doubts in the penthouse and when he found the supposed real killer and reported it to Yorinobu, suddenly there are Arasaka agents on his tail, not even trying to capture him, but straight up kill him. As a personal bodyguard to the head of the Arasaka family, I doubt there are many people in Arasaka who can order a hit on him. Not to mention he left Saburo alone in the room with Yorinobu right before Saburo was killed. Two plus two equals four.

  8. As for Takemura knowing about you being a witness, I imagine he did a thorough investigation after the fact, and since you'd be all over the hotel surveillance, including the fact that you were seen entering the elevator prior to Yorinobu, and then later spotted on the terrace trying to escape, it would be pretty obvious you were in the room around the time of the murder.

As for him knowing he killed his father, I think he pretty much knew that the moment he entered the room – poison victims don't have head wounds and strangle marks.

  9. As it currently stands, a Netrunner build with maxed intelligence and lots of points invested in quickhacks is utterly broken. With a good cyberdeck and stats, a combination of breach, mass vulnerability and contagion lets you clear out whole buildings without a shot being fired. You won't even need to touch a gun.

That said, maybe not the most exciting playstyle, since standing at a distance and watching all of your opponents collapse in a heap before they know you're there isn't exactly thrilling.

  10. Currently loving the video! I'm at the 4:06 mark, and I know it's early, but I just wanted to bring up your question about how Johnny is able to "touch" you, as it were. I've seen this brought up alot and the best example I can give is Teen Titans the animated series. If anyone has seen that, *SPOILERS* there's an episode where Robin keeps seeing Slade. He can feel and hear him. Yet in the end it's revealed that Slade isn't really there. He used a special compound which effected Robin's mind. I feel the same can be said here. While Johnny isn't actually there, your mind is processing it like he is there. So, a smack on the cheek from him feels real and your body reacts to it that way. Despite him not physically being there at all. At least, that's how I interpreted it. Anyway, gonna continue the video now! 🙂

  11. Takemura knows Yorinobu killed his father because it’s pretty obvious from his perspective. He and Adam Smasher knew that Yorinobu was the only person in the same room when pops died. Smasher doesn’t care.

In that dialogue, Takemura was about to say that “it’s unlikely that he was poisoned.” But Yorinobu cut him off, basically threatening him. Plus, Arasaka sent assassins after him so that pretty much confirms it. He just needs evidence, like he says

  12. Takemura: gets a pizza at Tom's Diner 🐢

V: hey you forgot your pizza 😑

Johnny Silverhand: hey, your talking to loud 😬

Welonz: which lead to follow; Evelyn, Hellman, or Rogue 😞

Me: hey, aren't you going to have the pizza to go 😒🍕

  13. I'm gonna say it right now. V sleeps like a weirdo. It's always bothered since I started the game, even to where I am now 100+ hours later, I think that. Why doesn't she use her pillows?!

OKAY I'm better now. Skmething something Johnny… Seriously though I do love his character in this. Wont spoil anything more than that though. Have fun with our new roommate, Welonz ^^

Also a slum is harsh lol. At least the NCPD is actually present in Little China. In some of the worst of the city, you won't see a single cop.

  14. I really like what they did with Silverhand, from the trailers and stuff didn't expect him to be an unlikeable asshole. And having Keanu play him was an extra smart move.

  15. Johnny spends a few days in your body i guess catching up doing the whole captain americ/austin powers catchup thing and most likly finding out whats it like to be in a womans body……… literally. Before you wake up naked in the shower. Notice how suddenly your rent is late, and your car was under lock.

  16. Well, Takemura gave a call to Yorinobu after he killed Dex, saying he found a "potential killer". And then he got chased by these dudes on bikes. So he probably figured, that's why he woke you up and asked for help in a first place. + The whole situation itself was too suspicious already

  17. Be careful when you sell junk. Some of it is jewelry and worth $750 (most is only worth $3). There's a perk that breaks down all your junk which I consider worthless since it also gets rid of the stuff that's worth money. I go for fashion, too, especially after seeing V on a motorcycle and realizing how many of the pants look like clown pants! Walk around the corner of V's apartment on her floor after you talk to Takemura and see what you can find.

  18. Keanu Reeves playing a jerk in a dystopian cyberpunk setting….paying homage to his role in "Johnny Mnemonic"? That movie instanly dated itself by treating 80 gigabytes as an insanely high memory capacity in the future lol

  19. Its pretty obvious how Takamura knows, he found you, the alleged murderer, reported it to Yorinobu, who was the only one at that point who knew and then you got attacked by elite Arasaka assassins on the way from the landfill.
So he knows Yorinobu ordered the hit on him and the only reason could be that he is the real murderer and want you out of the way as a witness and Takamura for investigating.
