Cyberpunk 2077 has just released anothet patch though not a major one, judging by the fact we’re just going from 1.3 to 1.31, rather than to 1.4. Still, there are a few items of note in here, any players might want to be aware of some lifted progression blockers and at least one item that feels like a significant difficulty change for the game.

So, here are the major 1.31 changes:

The really goofy bug where weapon reload was slowed down by a huge margin when equipping reload speed mods has been fixed.

The charged jump height is now “correct.”

Enemies now have better stealth detection speed dependent on game difficulty. I thought this went live in the last patch, but this may be a noticeable change for those trying to run stealth builds against generally clueless AI enemies on higher difficulties.

Progression blockers have been fixed in the following quests: Disasterpiece, These Boots are Made for Walkin’, With a Little Help from My Friends and The Nomad.

Beat on the Brat will no longer tell you go to beat the last mission again if you had a save file from patch 1.22

They fixed the glitch which eliminated the wet look of roads after rain. In fact, as of this patch, they say wet roads should now look even better than they did before.

Tech weapons will no longer sometimes blind you.

Missing descriptions added for Overheat and Short Circuit tooltips, and for Backpacker, Resist!, Osmosis and Footloose clothing mods.

PlayStation got better GPU memory optimization.

These are the major ones and as you can see, it’s mostly bug fixes and then one potential difficulty setting change with enemy stealth detection.
As ever, fans are sitting around waiting for more information about future free DLC, as we’ve only had three small bits of that released so far, and theoretically, the rest is supposed to be out this year. The same is true for information about the next-gen version of Cyberpunk 2077 on PS5 and Xbox Series X, but the last we heard about that, while the “target” was 2021, that language was not exactly reassuring, and most everyone is sort of just assuming it will slip to 2022 at this point. In addition to that, work continues on the game’s first major DLC, coming next year, with a second one to follow, and possibly some sort of multiplayer component after that. But until then, we’ll just keep fixing those bugs, I suppose.
