The Street Samurai Build uses a combination of Katanas, Armor and a lot of speed in order to maneuver around enemies easily. Enemies in Cyberpunk 2077 have excellent aim against stationary targets, but they have difficulty hitting anyone who is moving even remotely a little bit. You will be moving so fast you will take damage much less often than you’d expect, as you hit and run all over the place.

Katanas deal exceptional damage per swing, often killing enemies in 2 or 3 swings or less, even dismembering them in many cases which just looks badass. You can even decapitate unsuspecting enemies as well in one swing, and what’s really great is that you make very little noise with this weapon, allowing you to pick off enemies one by one in some cases without even intending to.

Street Samurai Tips
I don’t use the Strong Attack much with this Build because I’m focused on moving quickly and not staying in one place in order to avoid gunfire. However, Strong Attacks can be performed rather quickly, and work well against harder single target enemies. If you like using it be sure to pick up the Roaring Waters Perk for increased damage when you do one.

I mentioned it before, but I’ll mention it again here, the best way to level up Athletics is by meleeing until your Stamina bar is exhausted. You can do this in or out of combat and you don’t even have to hit anyone at all. It’s extremely tedious to just sit there and attack air, but it works. Ideally you’d just level this up as you play, but you can also “farm” Athletics XP this way if you wish.

A good second weapon for this Build is a Sniper Rifle because it doesn’t need any Perks to be effective. It’s a great way to hit other enemy Snipers who are high up, or enemies that are too far away to get to. You shouldn’t need it often, but it doesn’t hurt to have one just in case.

Using the Mass Vulnerability Daemon before you run into combat can help with harder areas of the game. It reduces enemy Physical Resistances, allowing you to deal more damage. Make sure you take this Perk if you’re having trouble, as you can get it right away.

You can use the Mantis Blades if you want with this Build since you will need similar Attributes and Perks to make it work. You can acquire these from Ripperdocs around Night City for a handful of cash.

Lastly, I like to use the Ping Quickhack for this Build because it reveals all enemies in an area. Knowing where to go next after you down an enemy is very important, and it’s easy to lose track of exactly where enemies are when you are flying around so fast in first person. Use this one so that you don’t waste time looking around while you get shot.

  1. You can find one of the best Katanas on the roof during the the mission Saburo is killed. Mission: The Heist P.S. if you forgot it on your first run look up how to glitch back into the building it will still be on the roof.

  2. Instead of normal cyberdeck, use Sandevistan. The slow-time cyberware.
You won't be able to hack anything after that, but you won't need to. Sandevistan active you can chop 3-4 guys in a room down and not even raise the alarm as they don't have time to react.
It's pretty cool to storm through a room like that and have the first guy's decapitated head still mid-air as you finish the last one and turn around.
Sandevistan will also give you even more damage while time is slowed, and has slots for mods to increase crit chance and crit damage further while time is slowed.

And a good alternative for Cold Blood leveling would be leveling Tech. I think you need lv16 to get the "Waste not, want not" perk, which will allow you to disassemble clothes and get the mods from them separated. This way you can get Fortuna (crit chance) and Bully (crit damage) mods and put them on whatever clothes you want. By endgame you'll have loads. I was hitting 30-40k crits with strong attacks at endgame, and I missed Saburo's katana (the one with +500% crit damage).

  3. Damn, wished I saw this video before playing. Bought Cyberpunk 2077 for my teenage son, for Christmas. I've played a few times, but my son had to help me with the gun fights, as I was terrible. (Guess old men shouldn't play video games: 🙂 ).
Anyway, I believe it was the mission where Jackie dies, I ran out of bullets. Looking for a weapon, I chose the only katana (common) in my inventory. Cut through enemies like a hot knife through butter. So I upgraded the same basic katana all the way up to rare.
The Katana has made the game so much easier. I watch my son play, and he hides behind objects, watch for a chance, then pops off shots with a gun. With the katana, I jump into the middle of a pack of enemies, all firing machine guns at me, and I can cut them all down, with the katana, use only one heal potion.

If I knew about this build, wouldn't have wasted so many skill points on guns (faster targeting, reduce recoil, etc), Got to start adding these points to these skills. My katana is already OP. With this build, V will be indestructible!. .

  4. This build is bad you actually gain way more tankyness and damage just by investing into cold blood it’s silly not to build cool first even before reflexes I recommend taking cool to 16 so you can get Max effectiveness from cold blood it’ll increase move speed attack speed and damage armor and health regen plus at 20 you can take a flat damage reduction and immunity to elemental damage which is sweet

  5. I kinda subconsciously built this without even trying.
I gotta khatana early on and even got the yellow and black Bruce Lee looking motorcycle racing outfit.

I keep two backup weapons one sniper rifle doesn't matter which one and
"plan B" Dex's gun I made into a non lethal weapon for when you need to keep the cyber Psycho suspects alive.
