  1. My general feeling about TW3 was that it would be higher res textures, some ray tracing like they said (probably just reflections or AO), 60FPS on all consoles, and not too much more. So to hear it's being pushed back is making me hope there's some big stuff they're planning for the update, otherwise it'll be disappointing to hear Saber wasn't able to do it by the original date, since they've already ported to the Switch.

  2. It's kind of crazy once you realize that when the version of Cyberpunk 2077 that was promised finally comes out in 2022, it will literally be 10 years after the game was first announced in 2012.

  3. I am so happy about this honestly, I don't get how people can be upset about it tbh. Yea you can't play the next gen version when you want, boo-hoo, I don't like that either. But isn't this why we liked them in the first place? They shouldn't have released the roadmap yea, but that seems to have been a mistake, and after a mistake do you prefer someone to accept that they made a mistake and improve or do you want them to just pretend like it wasn't a mistake? I sure know what I prefer.

  4. And almost a year later we're still waiting for BASIC fixes like V's shadow, a walk key/button and an INFINITE number of other stuff that by now should have been ironed out. Don't get me started on AI, cut content and such… They have no excuses, unbelievable!

  5. Calling it now the next gen versions of cyberpunk 2077 are going to be still broken the game will be underwhelming and cd project red will fallback on Witcher 3 next gen as a failsafe

  6. One of the big points of CDPR showing up on Witchercon this year was to reveal the news regarding the remaster (& the Netflix DLC).
When I saw them announce that I thought it was likely that the remaster will come along around time of Netflix show season 2.

Now with this news, I am disappointed.
Part of me even wishes they didn't even announce it at Witchercon in the first place.
Then there would have been no expectation, and the new DLC would have been a nice surprise, regardless of when they actually released the remaster.

  7. im glad they pushed back cyberpunk, it needs to come out right. But the witcher 3 bums me a bit. I was waiting for the next gen upgrade to do another playthrough, and was hoping id be able to play it around the time of season 2's release.

  8. It's a bummer but I get it. They don't want to run into the hate they got with Cyberpunk though I think that's inevitable since gamers these days tend to be whiny, entitled crybabies that are never satisfied.

Nonetheless, all I hope is that they don't delay it a billion times as they did with Cyberpunk. As a huge fan of the studio and that game, the only thing that truly annoyed me about its release was how they delayed it a bunch of times when they really should have said "delayed indefinitely" or given themselves a LOT more time to deal with it.

  9. Its beyond pathetic now, what's next expansions delayed or shelved due to lack of money after they've been sued or is there another cyber attack in the pipeline, incompetence to cdpr

  10. Yeah, it seemed odd to me that TW3 next-gen upgrade is coming out after CP77. Bummer for those who play on consoles, but on PC with Halk Hogan's HD Reworked, some lighting mod, and various other ones to improve on the game, I really don't feel I the game needs a reworking of the graphics — adding ray-tracing on a game that already looks fantastic seems like a big investment for very little visual payoff. (My graphics card is by now considered old, and I'm not getting a new PC with an expensive RTX card: I can't afford it, and the small amount of visual fidelity improvement is not worth thousands of dollars on a game that takes my breath away the way it is NOW.)

  11. I'm so disappointed. I wanted to play the Witcher 3 in all its high-res glory this winter too, and really take my time this go around. I've also been waiting for the Cyberpunk upgrade for so long but like you I expected another delay to happen. It feels like a fabled game to me at this point. At least I got The Ascent to scratch my cyberpunk itch in the meantime, and what a game it is!

  12. The work is being done by Saber Interactive with access given by CD Project Red. Learning lessons from Cyberpunk, they probably want to refine the product from bugs.

  13. I don't know if feel worried for Witcher Next Gen or Hyped due to the time. Maybe the time it's for problems… or maybe because they are adding more than initially expected, some features, enhancements and mods… maybe?

  14. Never played Witcher, got a PS5 last christmas. Have been waiting so patiently, started to play it but without 60 fps and 4k its kinda muddled. So I will just wait. If i play through the PS4 version then I won't touch the upgrade
