Good evening friends, welcome back to another video. As I’m still slowly plugging away at the Arasaka Tower video, enjoy another simple dive into cut content. This time, it’s all about Embers baby.

  1. I wish we could've gotten more from Embers, or just Restaurants in general. Datespots, Food Vendors, Bars, Clubs. Imagine walking into a Club in Night City and it having as much Detail and Interactivity as the Party at the Black Diamond

  2. Another thing i'd like to point out is that before patch 2.0, if you carried the conversation with hanako too long, she mentions an AV circling the embers consistently and says whether it's strange or not. Maybe that floor that was cut could be linked to that AV and hanako's dialogue ?

  3. Perhaps there should have been another quest where these NPCs would appear in front of tables that are located neatly above their heads. Some kind of spy quest where we pass something to someone while playing as a corpo or cutted the fourth path.

  4. I think CDPR wanted to make NC feel as real as possible. That includes the sort of effects that only come from having more out there than you can see. Like how now IRL there is the faint FAINT sound of say distant cars on the highway, and planes in the air, and TV in the other room. That ambient world. Then they just had to get a game out.

  5. Who knows what else CDP had in mind with such locations, maybe other than being just accessible they might have been similar to those you find in GTA IV-V or RDR, where you can attend to shows, concerts and whatnot… The game was very ambitious, such a shame they didn't manage to fully realize what they had in mind due to time constraints and a very troublesome development.

  6. I think you are right. Those NPCs were upstairs, then someone had to move them out of the way quickly for the sake of the story. And of course they never had the time to go back and clean things up, because of the freacking rush hehe. I bet you'll never find anything left over like that in phantom liberty!

  7. Smells like the sneaky gig in Heavy Hearts in Phantom Liberty, where there's an inaccessible floor until you get a mission to go in. Maybe you were supposed to go to the lower floor during a similar gig and then later return to meet Hanako on the now available upper floor and have a little moment of 'Oh so that's where I was breaking into'

  8. Pretty sure all these npcs are directly below tables and are supposed to just go exactly some amount up in the y axis to spawn them in and out of the accessible area, perhaps the top hanako level was supposed to be accessible before the hanako quest and you’d just see a restaurant full of guests, or maybe originally the scene with hanako would have guest dining, and they just moved them away one floor down to quickly get rid of

  9. I don't think there was supposed to be a second floor, I think those NPCs were just moved to the floor below, when V meets Hanako there, Johnny mentions she emptied the place which makes sense but he says it like we've seen people there before. I think they scrapped plans for Embers being an open restaurant, maybe because it affected the gameplay, bugs with the npcs or just out of time? Who knows, I wish the devs would talk more about these things.

  10. i feel like these npcs were originally supposed to be seated in embers top floor where hanako is, but they changed plans and made embers empty, and instead of deleting all the npcs that spawn they just moved them down.

  11. The mission was designed with other customers in the restaurant and they later decided it'd make more sense that she'd have the place cleared. Therefore they just moved down the NPC models…

Much more likely than modeling an entire extra floor and removing it, just to keep the NPCs floating…

This dude will always go out of his way to come up with the most unlikely theory on why things are the way they are.
