  1. What I love about the slang "choom" it sounds similar to the south african slang for friend "chom". Some of the charecters even pronounce it the same. So I feel more immersed in cyberpunk cause I use "chom" all the time. 😂

  2. Mexican? The series never once states that David is Mexican. While it is very likely that he is Mexican American, it's never said. At best we can only assume that he is Hispanic. We can't even assume Latino because for all we know his family could be like Hispanos from Texas or New Mexico or something.

    Hispanic would be the term because based off his last name we know his family was likely historically Spanish speaking. But we do not know if he has any ties to Mexico or Latin America.

    David is a citizen of night city. An independent territory, first and foremost. That would be his "nationality". So even Mexican is technically off the table.

    At that point in the 2070s if his family were Mexican I doubt that he's like a recent immigrant. He's pprobably something like a 6th generation "Mexican american" at best. At that point are you even Mexican anymore or are you just Hispanic?
