2nd? 😂
The relic couldn't have saved Jacky because it requires a brain to overwrite 😂😂
Another theory, what might have happened if V went directly to Evelyn instead of reporting to Dex after the heist?
It only takes a passing knowledge of biology to understand why it never couldve worked. Jackie dies solely from blood loss due to damage to his iliac argery(Del's analysis if asked). If the Relic DID reboot the brain the body would then shortly thereafter die again
But it was created to revive corpses. Only Jacky's psyche would be dead. 😂
It would have aaved V instead if Jacky got the Relic with Silverhand.
Could have happend in alternative timeline..
Its time to be sad, bois 😔
I never actually gave that much thought but it makes sense.
The relic probally saw how mad Mama Wells would be and gtfo out of there.
When your guts are missing it’s a big ask.
Geez I've been thinking that this may be a thing since CP came out. The title got me, starting the video
The Part that baffles me the most is that the Relic is compatible with standardized neuro-ports as if Arasaka wouldn't pull a full on Apple and only make it for their own proprietary interfaces.
Hey Chooms, I hope you all enjoyed. Please let me know your thoughts down below and if you believe Jackie would've survived. I hope you all are having an amazing winter break and I look forward to releasing a few more videos before New Year's!

Commenting for algorithm boost 🙂
I always wondered this myself since the game came out if The chip just stayed in Jackie when he passes in the car would it revive him same as V, but V literally got shot in the head and as Vik said was low caliber and how arasaka themselves couldn’t even achieve that yet as per Hellman, V is special indeed
You've definitely gotten a few things mixed up here. The relic advertised to the public was purely a method to talk with personality constructs. The relic Jackie and V take completely different, not even Hellman or Hanako knew it could bring V back from the dead. This relic has almost nothing in common with the secure your soul project outside of what engram is put on the chip.
I guess that there also must be a dna match, that's why for example they couldn't put V's engram in any body. V was suitable host for Johnny in Relic 2.0
This was literally just bouncing around my brain, I swear I'm being spied on lmao.
Great theory btw, I always thought since he existed as an engram in Arasaka when you sent him to Viktors that the biochip could've revived him, but this actually makes total sense as to why not. I completely forgot that he bled out from the gut instead of the direct death via bullet V received, meaning he would've just died again even if he was revived
This reminds me of Delos's Immortality project from HBO's Tv series 'WESTWORLD'. There's a term there, 'Cognitive Plateau', its the process where the copied psyche of the human refuses to function normally when put on a new robot body. Somehow, the mind is rejecting the new reality it was in.
So the only way for it to be successful was for an AI to 'learn' the human target. But alas, that also failed, the AI had also gained sentience.
I agree the relic only wouldn't be able to save Jackie. But if (and it is a big if) V would have known the relic capacity to restore a damaged brain, a competent doc like Viktor would have been able to give blood to Jackie and restart primary life function, offering to the relic the time to fix the damaged brain (damage due to the blood loss in this case).
great video man! nice writting and editting, keep it up
Fantastic vid choom, content is always preem
Depending on your choices, there is an ending where Jackie is so killed. And you can interact with his gram in part although it definitely has its limitations which is odd. I would like to know why that is. The specific ending I’m referring to is the one where you work with Asaka if they have picked up Jackie‘s body.
I never considered that V ‘dying’ in act 1 would mean that you’re playing an artificial V from then on. I always saw it as the same consciousness (as opposed to a copy) because Dex’s bullet was low calibre. Therefore, as I saw, the conflict came not from two engrams competing in one mind, but the chip jolting V back to life and then competing with V’s real consciousness.
Thanks for the thought exercise!
Only 300 likes? Dude your production quality and script is too good for that. Here’s another, keep up the good work.
I still don't buy the "original V is dead" theory. When V gets shot by Dex, they aren't soulkilled – the nanites just immediately kick in to repair the brain. V still has troubles because the bullet is still lodged in their skull for a bit, but I imagine it's just like being "clinically dead" but being revived on the table. Still the same person.
As for Mikoshi, there is a physical part of the brain responsible for individual consciousness and self-awareness. V doesn't physically die while in Mikoshi, and is connected by cable for the duration of the event – whether V's personality or Johnny's is put back into V, it's still V's living brain – it would have to be. There are no relic nanites to repair the dead/dying brain here, it's just direct download – elsewise, V's brain would be rewritten by nanites to go back to normal if they returned to their body, no 6 month time limit to find another cure like in canon. The Johnny ending is essentially V's brain being brainwashed (in the most effective way) that they're Johnny Silverhand.
Death, is only the beginning.
2:25 they could have used a real child's voice 😂 it's very unconvincing
eventually Arasaka succeeded do that you say no ? then watch and read Altered carbon
There was a cyberpunk fan fic bout ghis
I was actually thinking about this last night, Instead of sleeping. woops.
the blood lost itself explains everything.
I read the thumb as, “Cyberpunk Couldn’t Be Saved” and was like, “Uh…. Bro…. Cyberpunk is f*cking fantastic…”
