With every patch performance decrease further 🤣
So the game got blurrier and harder to run? Excellent job
The truth is raytracing is the biggest problem. Without it game works perfectly with stable 60FPS. I played on 2060 on launch and with no RT I had 60FPS. With RT I had 15-25FPS. Now with 3080 and i7-12700KF in 4K ultra with RT on Ultra I have 45-55FPS. Still not great but overall it;'s a lot better than on launch.
what is the music in the video?
I thought they will add fsr 2.0 in v1.6
Will u test fsr 2.0 official rdr 2
Cpu more cold ??? and smaller use of cpu
Thank you for making these videos!!
I clicked on this video hoping to see a 5-10 fps difference. Clearly I should be more careful and specific for what I wish for…
GPU utilization is down in 1.6 compared to 1.52. Interesting, seems like it's not running as intended. Hopefully the CDPR devs can notice this and address it in a hotfix.
FRS 2.0 Mod Works?? 🤔
As happened with 1.5, performance has worsened, also in the internal benchmark are 5 fps less i hope it will soon arrive 1.6.2. Can I ask you how you register benchmarks without affecting the performance of the game ? Do you use a second pc to record ? OBS, even with optimized options loses something. Thanks
Disaster of a game
so its got worse huh
I think the impact is in some change to Ray Tracing. I have a 2080 super and the only RT option I use is Local Shadows. With no RT on I get about 85 FPS which is no change from 1.52 to 1.6 but with RT Local Shadows my fps goes to 75 in 1.6 whereas in 1.52 my fps was around 80 with RT Local Shadows.
With each patch fps drops… WTF…
1.6 looks noticeably more blurry and low resolution while also providing less performance, Your CPU is also using less power as well in most of those comparisons.
This patch looks like an L performance wise.
less fps but smoother
Ffs can someone pls highlight the devs the fact that since 1.5 the game runs even worse? Serioulsy what need to happen to this card be able to run this game in 1440p rtx on with stable 60 fps?
Well I regreted the update. From now on I will backup the game before. Performance is clearly worse. CPU performance is worse. That may justify the lower GPU usage since RT increase CPU usage. This is coming from someone using 5900x, so yeah…. Good places to test CPU is the Lizzy Club and the market close to your home. My FPS used to have more than 45FPS now is more common see below that. Honestly I still feel this game is unoptmized, they should focus on performance, which they did for CPU (which now is worse), but very little done for GPU. Idk the devs feel that the game runs fine, so I don't expect more improvements, but at least I shouldn't see regressions.
Ouch… under 60fps on a 3080. That's bad. Dying light 2 manages 90+ with full RTX…
they said that graphival presets were edited to look better so they arent't actually the same preset 1.6 is slightly more demanding as expected
Red Dead Redemption 2 Official FSR 2.0 Quality test on 1440p Res Pls.
hi Good video, rdr 2 new update test please- sorry mi english
This mostly for console port updates more for series s
slightly more demanding as expected cuz of updated presets
That's like a 5-10% drop in FPS for some cases… WTFH
Massive increase for Xbox Series S. Big decrease for PC. Shows you their priorities.
I have a 5800X3D/3080 TI/32GB 3600CL14 setup and I need people to stop with the false info and stick to the facts. It is CLEARLY a CPU oriented problem because if you look at GPU utilization, for some reason we can't go passed 95-96% usage anymore. I tried rebooting, removing all mods, using SMT fix for AMD to increase thread usage, etc. Nothing changed. Performance for me using these same exact settings at 1440p/DLSS Quality is exactly what's shown here. It gets worse if you head down to jig jig street and go into the market area or any place where this is tons of AI scripts going on such as CityCenter.
Turning off RT did NOT help as I was still not able to maximize GPU load. Even if I turned off DLSS and ran full blown Psycho RT to try and force a severe GPU bottleneck. My 3080 TI would not go to the 98% cap it used too. Quite obvious that they changed something related to CPU threading and not in a good way. My 5800X3D hands down is better than my old 5900X I Swapped it for even in CP77 and now its performing worse than it all of a sudden. Other major benchmark reviewers (no offense to them) suck at benchmarking CPU's sometimes because they use areas where the CPU wouldn't be the limiting factor with cache/latency. MxBenchmark does a good job here of showing the area in front of Megabuilding.
Didn't see a difference after the update, my performance is still the same as it was before and after with my mixed custom settings. The majority of people that has performance drops are using default presets which has now been overhauled in 1.6 update.
Performance is smoother on series x, runs great 😊
Yeap, time to lower some settings, I was playing in the edge, with stable 60 having a few drops under 60 in most demanding places. But now with 1.6 that drop under 60 to more often.
so same shit optimization
In my experience, it actually did drop ~10 frames. That is without raytracing or dlss, and on basically max settings on an AMD card.
