  1. I'll preface this by saying that I am FPS blind, as long as the framerate is consistent, and apparently over 30 fps, I won't notice a thing. That 144hz monitor was wasted on me I'll tell you.

Medium settings and turned off ambient occlusion which I don't like and tweaked shadows a bit, turned down population a bit and some other minor tweaks, and it runs just perfect for me on a Vega 64, I was surprised how well it has performed so far @1440p. (ASUS ROG Strix Vega 64) And to my old man gamer eyes this game looks absolutely stunning even at medium settings. Doubt I'd go much over High even if I did shell out for the highest end cards on the market now.

Obviously I'm still looking for an upgrade next year when GPUs might be in stock, but at least for now I can actually play this game which surprised me.

  2. Got used Vega 64 Asus Rog Strix OC with 3mm thermal pad and Artix M4 thermal paste. Card always want to reach 80c that's a thermal limit no matter what ambient temperature I have. Any suggestions?

  3. Anything over 40 is honestly really smooth in this game. I run between 45-50+ fps currently, and wouldn't have even noticed had I not checked. 45 fps is about the sweet spot, if you cant hit higher.

  4. i was watching this to explain a comparison to a non computer literate friend. its the same card i have more or less vs the card hes being recommended to get to get into 4k video and im watching it going i know mine would do better than that.
good to know it was before fixes cause something really didnt seem right to me.

  5. I'm surprised, my 64 does 40 -50 fps on 1440p ultra/high. Not sure why this one is lower. Unless the card isn't tuned yet. Probably hasn't been undervolted or overclocked yet maybe? Great card for this game

  6. I was looking for a video like this. I found one online (used) and I was thinking about buying it looks like since I'm gonna be playing 108p it will run just fine. Although I will ask for a test to see how the card handles since it's not new.

  7. When Raja Koduri said "because there's so much horsepower in Vega" I didn't think anything of it until now. 10fps behind 1080ti. Guess all the compute beef for this card does pay off in 2020. Literally every game with patches is playable on it. Just a Shame Vega can't push more fps at lower resolution, eg 1080p. A limit of its 60~ ROPs.

  8. All I needed to do for my card is just turn down the video settings just a tiny bit and the card runs the game like a total beast in 1440p, dunno how you are getting such low fps. Just set minimum resolution to 90% and then lighting/shadow quality to ultra instead of psycho, it'll barely even make a difference if at all and it'll give you a good extra 10+ fps

  9. I don't have the game yet. But I am curious, what about with the HBCC (High Bandwidth Cache Controller) enabled? I'm assuming all testing done with it set to default (disabled). Asking because I haven't seen any tests with Vega 56/64 with it enabled or not, and it could be useful for games that require more then 8gb graphics memory (and it does seem like Cyberpunk wants more then 8gb from all the tests I've seen).
