In this video Dreamcastguy rants about the new leaks by Bloomberg and Jason Schreier about Cyberpunk 2077. With 20 different sources he managed to dig up some crazy facts like an early version of Cyberpunk 2077 was third person and not first person, they had bigger plans for night city until they cut content, and that the entire E3 demo in 2019 was one big lie. The game itself was a rushed mess and the developers are paying the price in crunch and blacklash when really only management deserves it. Can this game be saved by update patches and the DLC for Xbox One X and PS4 Pro or will this game be broken and filled with glitches until it lands on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. I guess we can expect a few more CD Projekt Red apologies in the future as they straighten this out.

  1. hey DCG. I remember you giving the game a 9 out of ten, then the next few days you changed your tune because by then we all knew the truth about it and the narrative changed. I dont appreciate youre fakeness. You played it on console too, and still gave it a 9 then changed your mind after we all knew.

  2. The 3rd Person thing was common knowledge that was out there a while ago as I remember reading that they changed to 1st person and was really disappointed. It needs to be brought back it’s clear it’s a 3rd person game

  3. All ps4 exclusives have the same engine it's not enough to convince anyone to buy a pstrash or xtrash last good console was ps3 cry about it I passed on ps4 it was a flop whether people like it or not I went from ps3 to pc I wanted to trade a ps4 for a dream cast that's how much these consoles suck now days you aren't gamers your babies who complain about shit not being easy enough. 👏🏽💙💯

  4. bloody hell, you read a lot of that statement and came to some wild bullshit conclusions lol first you say it was developed first and foremost for consoles… fuck no it wasn't, everybody knows the company is a pc first focused developer lol then you read that they had disagreements on how the game should be developed and your conclusion is it was hinting that they wanted it in third person but the higher ups said no… like, where the fuck in your ass did you pull that out from. then it says some devs thought it was aiming for 2022 and you come to the conclusion that must have meant 2023 because of the pandemic, no… no they said 2022, stop making it up as you go along, stop fabricating your own conclusions just read what it says lol your taking what we assume is facts and then twisting it to make it sound much worse.

and im no cyberpunk fanboy, im not defending them in any way shape or form, but this is kind of bullshit, your showing us what's in the statement and coming to your own wild conclusions what that means.

  5. I suspect that a lot of this is true. But my own experiences have also shown me that disgruntled employees will twist the narrative and will OMIT things that don’t support their complaints. Disgruntled people are a poor source of info. For example, CDPRs history of fairness toward their customers, and it’s a proven history, makes me very skeptical of the double dipping accusation. Maybe some middle managers gossiped about it but I doubt that plan actually existed.

  6. Made for last gen is not true, they developed it on PC and scaled their engine down to fit on consoles – they said so in their apology video. That said they shouldn't ever have feenlightes the base xbox/ps4 versions since they knew they hadn't optimised it to run even at a minimum viable product standards

  7. This guy is talking about how CD Project Red says one thing but does the other but he does the exact same thing on his channel. Says the game is 9/10 then proceeds to talk about it for 10 videos about how the game sucks and calling it ”Last video about Cyberpunk” But its never the last video and you either like the game or you don’t you can’t play both teams.

  8. Stop fanboying these companies. If they make something good praise them, if it’s mid let them know, if it’s bad let them know. Sometimes we take it too far and put them on a pedestal. STOP DOING THIS. As you can see in this article, it went to CDPR head.

  9. Max you gave this game a 9/10 and the review has a PS4 hashtag. Now you are doing 25 minute videos about the absolute shambles that game is. That game should have been hammered. The last of us 2 got a low score from you despite releasing in solid performance and the only grumble people seem to have is disagreeing with the story choices. If this sounds like, I am attacking you, I am not. I like your content, but feel like you have got things really wrong with your recent reviews.

  10. The only thing they really worked on other than Cyberpunk 2077 was The Witcher games. And 3 was the one that got popular. So…they made 1 of the most beloved games of all time. I think it went to their heads and they thought they're invincible.

  11. This trainwreck reminds me of the Duke Nukem thing where it went into development hell and was originally made for some systems and when it finally released, it was for an entirely different and more capable one and it still sucked arse.
I hope tha people finally learn their lesson regarding any company out there: They aren't there for anyone but their investors and interests and will abuse and scam you everytime they can. Period. No exception.

  12. One of their biggest mistakes was making the studio head Badowski director of Cyberpunkt 2077. He decided to overhaul most of the game. He also allegedly clashed with other section leaders working on the game and some of them left.
I also think they added Keanu way too late. There comes a point in game developement imo where you just can't add major events or make major changes it just is toxic to the developement.
I also agree that it was just insane to be building the engine during game developement.Just insane.

  13. The gaming press also deserve a part of the blame, getting behind the scenes fake demo's and not asking questions as to if the actual product would be represented instead they just gushed about how incredible the faux demo looked and sold people on hype leading to even more pre orders.

  14. Imo cd Projekt red took the success of ONE game and thought they where the Messiahs of gaming.

Witcher one and two where good but not great. Success game from Witcher 3. That's it.

Blew it all due to greed and ego.

  15. I work in the trades. Oil and gas specifically and last year was extremely taxing. We were getting 1 day off every 23 days for nearly 6 straight months ripping 12-14 hours per day and this is in Canada and where we are working was nearly -40C in the winter. All outside work. No only that, you had to sleep at work and can't even go home at the end of the day.

13 hours a day, 5 days a week isn't really bad especially if you're getting overtime. Been in the trades a long time and 40 hour weeks are rare. I'm not saying game development isn't taxing, I'm sure it is mentally, but every time I hear about "crunch time" for developers I'm just like "eh..?". It's hard on relationships for sure. I had coworkers even miss their childs first Christmas but you gotta do what you gotta do to support your family. Don't complain about it, be grateful you have an income and a job that's actually paying overtime.

I can kinda understand some frustration when all this happens over botched leadership but it is what it is. Take the money and run.

  16. What's crazy is my guy here played the game with his early copy, and said it was great minus all the bugs. Watch beatemups video, the issues in the game go much much further than bugs. A main part of this game was the choices, guess what, whatever you choose doesn't matter which is already baked into the story of the game. This game will never be great.
