Phantom Liberty introduced several controversial conclusions, but this one is easily the most divisive.

  1. I mean, it's interesting playing through cynosure facility, but the endings that came from it are kinda shitty, so i just go down there (via mods) after sending song to the moon.

  2. I've played this ending many time too and have to say loved telling Rosalind what I thought lol. TBH I always' killed SoMi as she asked. Totally agree that the cannon ending is send her to the crystal palace, did that on my first play through and then go on to be the queen of afterlife and take old blue eye's job 😉

  3. I dunno, I just can't bring myself to play endings like this one. I always feel slightly ill afterwards. Call me an optimist, but I prefer happy endings, even if they aren't for my character. So the only real ending I could bring myself to do, when it came to the PL content, was the one where I send Somi to the moon to hopefully get herself fixed. Especially considering all of the buildup with Reed beforehand, where he said, repeatedly, that he would do anything, pay any price to get Somi free of this mess he got her in.

  4. playing as Corpo V doing this ending, I granted So Mi her wish and freed her from her pain, we both got screwed, so screw them, So Mi is free, and V moves on to find their way to a cure. First play through sent her to the Moon as Female V, second as Male V and well already said it. Male V is an Edgerunner Body Blades and shotties, so Cynosure was fun I love being stealth netrunning assassin or sneak in an out before they knew V was there. The Cat and mouse game was fun a few mishaps was fun as heck getting through the maze, add in done well choices hmm fun times, but will do all of them for full game experience good or bad, but either the moon or killing Songbird is best. The plus bit telling an shaky at best Alia slash former enemy to F themselves was golden

  5. im a simple man and survival at any cost is not the duty of a man. i believe the duty of a man is sacrifice, and protecting those you care for. to that end, much like David M, i decided to send that bitch to the moon, bitches love moons XD. memes aside, there is no definitive 'good' ending so i made a decision and now i live with it and learn.

  6. Hey chooms, I hope you all enjoyed! Let me know all your thoughts and feedback down below. Did you appreciate this new ending or did you find it difficult to play? Do you think Songbird deserves to be freed? Can't wait to hear all your thoughts!

Edit: I do also want to say that while I prefer the gameplay and ambience of King of Cups, I prefer Killing Moon as a story outcome!

  7. The fact that i can get attacked WHILE hacking the computers in Cynosure is reason enough for me to spit on the whole ending. I don't like forced stealth as it is. But forced stealth + being able to get game overed while stuck in an unexitable loading screen? That's BS and who ever designed the game knows it.

  8. Something everyone seems to forget is what Reed tells you if you meet him after Phantom Liberty, one last time. If you ask if they'll bury So Mi, he tells you she's already got a grave in New York, that he, her, and Alex visited it. It was part of her cover. He then says she was taken to the Groom Lake facility, that her body will never be buried. The implication is that Myers has ordered So Mi's chrome removed and used to continue the program

  9. A bit of weird to me that I could take down military combat mech, the most powerful combat machine in NC aka Smasher , a whole army and countless MaxTac soldiers but couldn't do a thing to an ancient maintenance bot.

  10. ~ 12:00 – Songbird lies to V. V does not lie to a single person he involves. They get involved willingly. All of them. That's a MASSIVE difference. They knew what the odds were, and they still wanted to help V, because he helped them. V also doesn't ask for their help under what essentially comes down to as 'duress', as their life is not in danger, his is, and he does not screw them over in the end just so he could live and they could die.

Not only that, she has a stupid, childish tantrum saying you betrayed *her*… Even though she has, quite literally, lied and led you on from the start. Let's not equivocate things that are not equal.

  11. My first ending I got, I chose to un-plug her. I believe that every person should have the right to die if they've exhausted all other options. Songbird is in a situation where there is no real escape, unplugging her means that she can no longer be used by the NUSA for whatever plan they had with her.

this ending is the only real ending where you can tell myers to go fuck herself and I consider that a huge win.

  12. the only thing separating me from having all achievements in CP77 is finding the guts to betray songbird and then handle her "alive" to the NUSA.
"Next playthrough" I keep telling myself, but it is so hard for me to ignore the empathy I feel for her down in the Cynosure facility: such well written characters are why I love CDPR even after all the mess

  13. So Mi lies to you in practically every facet and then plays as a victim. V is fighting to stay alive, but never betrays her friends (I mean, you can in the game, but who does?) and those who are close to her. So Mi, however, does at any chance she gets, even to her own friends and even her boyfriend and even Reed of all people, the man who saved her life. She breached the blackwall several times knowing the dangers it has on not only her physical body, but the rest of humanity as well. All so she can, what? Save her own life? So she can reach some neural matrix that we have to believe (believing in someone who has lied to you several times) will save her life… so she can be charged for high treason and probably be executed ANYWAYS.

The only person who could understand her is V, and she betrays V, a corpo pawn tries to use you as a pawn…

This doesnt mention how many countless innocent lives shes risking doing all this. Not JUST what killing the president could do, but also poking holes into the blackwall and potentially releasing those rogue AI to humanity.

I have no sympathy for her at all. That being said, Phantom Liberty is one of the best DLC's for a game I've played in a long time.

  14. I like to think this the cannon ending. V’s choice to kill So Mi is the most heartbreaking but beautiful ending to the story. And Reed walking out into the desert while the music begins playing was tearjerking. I honestly like Solomon Reed. Even though he is a spy who does deceive and kill. You can tell he has principles and genuinely thinks he’s doing the right thing. And he feels nothing but guilt for So Mi’s condition. Elba was phenomenal. Plus I liked the horror aspect of it. Kinda like alien isolation. Was on the edge of my seat during the segment. My cannon ending every time.

  15. I disagree with your comparison of Songbird and V's morality. The difference is not about lying, stealing or killing, because that's just how the setting is. The endings, for example. Where you see V dragging the nomads into danger, I see the nomads repaying someone who's risked his life for them so many times, they consider him a part of their family. Songbird drags us into Dogtown under false pretenses and hides that throughout almost the entire DLC, while pretending that she wants to open up. Hell, even in these emotional outbursts in the Cynosure facility, she never comes clean, we only learn about it if we choose to follow her over Reed. I get that her life has been tough, but at some point, everyone has to take responsibility for their own actions. The best option is probably to follow Reed, but then kill Songbird – as a mercy, but more importantly, to show the feds the middle finger.

  16. This is probably the canon ending, with V staying in 2079 Nightcity and finding the monk bros she saved from Maelstrom. Focusing on healing her body and mind… Zenpunk👊

  17. I LOVED the change-up. That whole facility was awful, and amazing. I died only a handful of times during the game, but must have died like 20 times to that stupid cerberus. But I never trusted Songbird to begin with, screwin her over was easy, lying jerk. I will admit, I made THEE DUMBEST decision tho. Gave her ass up to the feds, n told em to fornicate with themselves. Got me a swanky new jacket, n me, my girl n my new family rode of into the sunset. I dunno wtf…. lol

  18. Though I love the loot, I truly hate siding with Reed. Just went through the expansion twice recently and Reed has such a stupidly stubborn mentality it makes it hard for me to side with him. Even with So Mi lying I’d still rather save her from Myers then turn her in. Plus I love the absolute mad gun fight that breaks out in the airport

  19. I absolutely hate it. I quit playing and went and watched it on YouTube.

If I wanted to play Alien Isolation, I'd be playing Alien Isolation.

I would liked to have tried that that cyberdeck. But it's not worth that ending. Fuck that shit.

  20. First time i played through the facility i almost hated it, im not a fan of horror anyway, but the second time knowing all the background story details and game mechanics was just a great experience and change of pace. Loved it

  21. I Go both ways at one Point I had all 4 ways on a run though. Siding with Reed or Songbird and killing her or bring her in or sending her to the Moon or turner over to Reed pretty much did it all the only issue I had is man is that place is scary there a point in it that always mess me up no matter what I do (Round circle room with red lights that are always on and the Bot always comes right back after you think he gone) that part always scares me and you have to run no matter how safe it is to the last part where Songbird sends you to her apartment.

P.S. It's not really a Circle room but the way I hide there it's best to think it is and what I like to do is go back there and find the blueprints & stuff for though weapons you can get but man that going to very hard.

  22. 7:19 i think people give v too much credit that he can take bullets without much problems just because the tech is there. Its a game so sure the player can do those things. But i dont feel its in v's nature to get chomred out like alot of people insist and do when they play. Like v was absolutely doing killing sprees and fighting maxtac even once and that was out of necessity. By that same definition v is the best subcon of nc. Outstanding performance as he took on every case and brought in the perps alive. Never once wrecked their car and drove by the law. 😂

  23. My first ending was siding with So Mi because I didn't trust Reed because of his loyalist characterism and later killed him which might have seen me deliver So Mi to Mr Blue Eyes without me properly realizing it. After discovering that going to Cynosure can lead to killing So Mi and avoid her falling into anyone's hands, I now always betray her first and later mercy kill to avoid any party using her abilities in any wrong way.

  24. I extremely love The "Somewhat damaged" quest. Too me, it is the real Cyberpunk fealing. A gloomy, dark place with a terifying mystery and the technologie that try to crush you. You're weak in that system, but that doesn't want too fight. You're still standing against those monstruosities because you want too live. That's why I'm kinda sad when people are upset when thet are not overpowered. Remember that the Cyberpunk genre show people wanting too live in a world that doesn't let you a god damn chance.
