I just did this mission like 2 days ago it’s very sad what happened to the first monk and how much the second doesn’t care
This is just one way of looking at it. I performed non lethal take down and short circuit on all of the maelstormers and surprisingly he was grateful to be saved and thanked us for not taking any human lives to save him.
I quite frankly find the monk naive at how things in Night City work.
Doing a mostly non lethal netrunner playtrough. All my weapons have pax mod (Chisato style yay) but somehow he said I killed someone. (Made sure they were all still moving though).
This monk dillweed doesn't acknowledge you "not killing " unless you do non lethal takedowns.
You meet them again, in Jig-Jig. And there's a very interesting dialog 😉
These monks can get f#&# I kill the gangsters everytime
I did this and accidentally killed someone by pressing the wrong button during a takedown. When he proceeded to criticize me for saving his life, I threw my entire arsenal at him but he wouldn't die 🙁
After he done talking I just headshot all of those stroms with no repercussion.
Also did that to Takemura when he ask if you killed Oda
"oh fine he's alive"
"Thank you"
*shot his head
"WHY???!"
*Telltale game style "Takemura will remember that"
“You always have a choice, including not to act at all. That is the most difficult of the paths.”
Me: But if you know someone is or is about to be suffering, and you choose to do nothing, you are also contributing to that suffering. You literally just called that “evil in its purest form”.
“The suffering we commit unto others always finds its way back to us. Always”
Me: Well, these guys have caused A LOT of suffering. By your own logic, how do you know this isn’t Karma’s way of returning that suffering to them?
