I see. So it's an update to the now long running easter egg they keep adding on to with small updates to the game.
There's a big easter egg that rewards you with a special unique vehicle if you do it, but no one actually found the true legitimate method of beating it. People basically got 99% of it done, and then brute forced their way past one of the obstacles and by chance someone found out the ending to it, rewarding the car.
The idea is that it's characters in the world of Cyberpunk realizing they're video game characters and trying to find ways to escape into the real world, or at the very least, get their consciousness into the machine the game is being played on so they can see things from a new perspective. It looks like a death cult because they do die when they do their rituals, but they die because the AI controlling them is moving elsewhere.
This cult gathering is a continuation of it where they're doing dances and playing two of the same instrument at once to try and break the game, seemingly they succeeded. Have fun knowing your save is now haunted by 5 cyberghosts.
Looks like it was added in 1.5. If you google the shard name it pops up with a wiki entry. Still weird, I've never come across this camp before.

So strange I have over 200 hours (and still counting on PC) I have never come across this at all. I know I haven’t seen everything this game has to offer but it’s so cool to see this game get a GTA San Andreas like Easter egg.
